To teleport yourself to a known coordinate in Minecraft Bedrock, open chat and run /tp @s X Y Z, replacing X, Y, and Z with your destination values in that order. For example, /tp @s 100 64 200 moves you to x 100, y 64, z 200. /tp is an alias for /teleport, so either command works.

Teleport yourself to coordinates, step by step

  1. Turn on cheats in single-player worlds. Open the world’s Game settings and switch on Allow Cheats. Commands will not run without it. Minecraft’s official commands guide warns: “Note that enabling cheats will permanently stop players from unlocking achievements in that world – even if you turn them off again later.” Enable it only in a world where you do not need achievements.
  2. Get your three destination values. The methods are covered in the next section.
  3. Open chat. On most keyboard setups, press T. Chat is also available from the on-screen controls on console and mobile.
  4. Type the command and press Enter. Use the form /tp @s X Y Z, keeping the values in x, y, z order and separating them with spaces. For example: /tp @s 100 64 200.
  5. Check your position. Open the coordinate display or the copy interface again to confirm you arrived where you intended.

Finding the coordinates you need

Bedrock offers two practical ways to get coordinates. The coordinate display option shows your current location at all times, which is the simplest approach for reading values. For copying values, Microsoft Learn’s coordinate-copy guide describes a Creator setting called Enable Copy Coordinate UI. You must turn this toggle on in Creator settings before the copy interface appears.

Your own location

The copy interface separates two readings. The prompt “Where are my feet?” gives the coordinates of your own position. The prompt “What am I looking at?” gives the coordinates of the block your cursor is pointing at. Use the first when you want to return to a spot you are standing on, and the second when you want to target a specific block.

A block you are looking at

Aim the cursor at the block, then use the “What am I looking at?” reading. Coordinates from a block reading point to that block’s position, so a teleport to those values places you at the block’s location. Check the result, as the default command does not prevent you from landing inside solid material (see the blocked-destination section below).

Command variations

Goal Command What it does
Move yourself to fixed coordinates /tp @s 100 64 200 Uses absolute coordinates, so the destination is the same no matter where you start.
Move another player to coordinates /tp PlayerName 100 64 200 The target can be a player name or a target selector.
Move yourself a fixed distance /tp @s ~ ~10 ~ Uses relative coordinates. The official example moves you ten blocks upward from your current position.
Block teleport into occupied space /tp @s 100 64 200 true Adds the optional checkForBlocks value. Defaults to false.

The reference also documents rotation and facing options and teleporting to an entity. Neither is needed for a basic coordinate move.

Blocked destinations and the checkForBlocks value

The fourth value is optional. Its default is false, which means the teleport goes ahead even if blocks occupy the destination. Adding true makes the game refuse the teleport when the destination is blocked. Use true when you are sending yourself to a location you have not inspected. Leave it off when you deliberately want the exact coordinates, even if that means standing inside a block.

Troubleshooting

  • Command does nothing or is not recognised. Cheats are probably off in this world. Turn on Allow Cheats in the world’s Game settings, then run the command again.
  • Permission error. Your account lacks the permission needed to run the command. Microsoft’s Bedrock reference lists /teleport as requiring cheats and as tied to the Game Directors permission. On a server or Realm, ask the operator or game director to grant you the required permission.
  • Teleport refused. You used true and the destination is occupied. Choose a nearby coordinate with open space, or remove the true value if you intend to teleport anyway.
  • Command fails with an error about syntax. Confirm you entered three numbers after @s, separated by spaces, in x, y, z order.

Sources and version notes

Command syntax, the optional checkForBlocks value, and the permission classification come from Microsoft’s Bedrock /teleport reference. Allow Cheats and the achievement consequence come from Minecraft’s official commands guide. The copy-coordinate toggle comes from Microsoft Learn’s coordinate-copy guide. The sources do not give a single publication date that applies to every page, so confirm menu labels and locations in your current Bedrock build, since they can differ by platform and version.
