Method 1: screenshot a Bubble page, group, or element with a plugin
Prepare the target element
- In Bubble, open Settings → General and enable ID attribute support (the exact label can vary with Bubble’s editor updates).

Element capture
Use an element capture for receipts, dashboard cards, certificates, or social images. Keep the element’s dimensions stable and include all content inside its bounding box. If the element contains a scrollable group, check whether the plugin captures the viewport of that group or its hidden content; the listing does not define that behavior.

External API setup in Bubble
- Install Bubble’s API Connector and create a private API call. Keep the API key in a private header or parameter; never place it in page text or client-side JavaScript.
- Set the method to GET (or the provider’s documented method), add the URL parameter, and test with a non-sensitive page.

The target element cannot be found
Cause: ID attributes are disabled, the ID is duplicated, or the element is inside a conditional that is not rendered. Fix: enable IDs, use a unique value, and trigger the action only after the condition is true.
The URL action returns no usable file
Cause: an invalid URL, a private page requiring authentication, or a plan restriction. Fix: validate and encode the URL, provide supported authentication, and confirm callback or output requirements in the current listing.
The screenshot differs between users
