Use Selenium’s Python WebDriver to open a restaurant page, set a consistent browser window size, and save a PNG with driver.save_screenshot(). That captures the current browser window, not necessarily the entire page. You can also save a focused element—such as a hero or menu—using its screenshot() method. The examples below are implementation patterns; no specific restaurant site has been tested.
Capture a restaurant page with Selenium
Install Selenium and make a compatible Chrome browser and driver available in your environment. Selenium Manager can handle driver setup in many current Selenium installations, but the exact browser and driver setup depends on your system. The code below follows Selenium’s documented Python screenshot methods: Chrome WebDriver Python API and WebDriver window and element interactions guide.

Make portfolio captures comparable and understandable
- Use the same window dimensions for each page in a comparison; the example uses 1440 by 1000 pixels as a chosen viewport, not a requirement.
- Capture pages in a consistent state. If a consent banner, menu, or other overlay is present, decide whether it belongs in the portfolio image and record that choice rather than silently presenting a changed page.
- Use filenames that identify both the site and the page, such as
restaurant-home.pngandrestaurant-menu.png. - Keep a note of the page URL, access date, viewport dimensions, browser, and capture scope (window or element). That record helps viewers understand what the image represents.
Troubleshoot common capture problems
The browser does not start
Check that Chrome is installed and that your Selenium installation can obtain or find a compatible driver. If your environment manages browser drivers explicitly, confirm the driver version matches the installed browser and that it is available to the process.

The element lookup fails
find_element(By.TAG_NAME, "main") raises an error if there is no matching <main>. Inspect the page structure and use a locator for an element that exists, such as a suitable CSS selector. Do not assume every restaurant site uses the same markup.
The saved image is not full-page
The standard call shown here captures the current window. Use a documented full-page facility only after confirming that the chosen browser and Selenium binding support it; otherwise, describe the result accurately as a window capture.

The screenshot shows an unexpected page state
Navigation may have reached an error, challenge, or incomplete page, or the site may render content after the initial load. Inspect the browser result before using the image. If a page needs additional time or a particular interaction, adapt the script to that page rather than assuming the initial capture represents its finished state.
