In Microsoft Edge, open the webpage, press Ctrl+Shift+S, then choose Capture full page. Review the preview and copy or save the image. This built-in workflow works on an Indian laptop running Edge with Screenshot available; Microsoft’s instructions do not specify a separate India-only procedure.
Take a full-page screenshot in Edge
- Open the webpage in Microsoft Edge and wait for the content you want to capture to load.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S.
- In the Screenshot controls, select Capture full page. Edge captures beyond the visible screen without requiring you to scroll. Microsoft’s Screenshot feature description gives this shortcut and action.
- Inspect the preview. If needed, use the available markup tools, then choose the copy or save action.
- Open the copied or saved image and check that the top, bottom and important sections are present.
Open Screenshot from a menu instead
If the shortcut is inconvenient or unavailable, open Edge’s Settings and more menu or right-click the webpage and choose Screenshot. Then select Capture full page. This is the same Edge capture feature as the keyboard route, with a more discoverable menu entry. Current Microsoft material calls it Screenshot; older tutorials may call it Web Capture. Microsoft’s current feature page uses Screenshot, while Microsoft Learn Q&A reflects older terminology and individual user experiences.

If full-page capture is missing or incomplete
Screenshot does not appear
- Try Ctrl+Shift+S, then check both the Settings and more menu and the page context menu for Screenshot.
- On a work or school laptop, an administrator may manage the feature. Microsoft’s WebCaptureEnabled policy documentation says the feature is available when the policy is enabled or not configured. Ask your administrator if you cannot change managed settings.
- If you followed an older tutorial, look for Screenshot rather than Web Capture.
The shortcut does something else
Make sure Edge is the active app and the webpage has focus. Another application or managed setup may intercept the shortcut; use the menu route if it does not open Screenshot. Microsoft’s Edge keyboard-shortcut reference lists browser shortcuts, but it does not cover every possible conflict with other software.

Some page content is absent or looks wrong
Inspect the preview and the saved image rather than assuming every site will render identically. Content that loads dynamically, embedded regions and very long pages are worth checking carefully; Microsoft describes full-page capture but does not guarantee a particular result on every website. Individual reports in Microsoft Learn Q&A describe varied experiences, not a universal failure.
You are considering Windows Snipping Tool
Windows Snipping Tool is documented as a screenshot utility, but the cited Microsoft guidance does not describe it as a way to capture a full scrolling webpage. For this task, start with Edge Screenshot. Microsoft Support: Use Snipping Tool to capture screenshots.

The steps are Edge browser instructions, not a laptop-brand or India-specific workflow. They apply in India when the laptop runs Edge and the Screenshot feature is available. That is an inference from Microsoft’s general instructions, not a separate Microsoft India compatibility statement.
