Use a full-page or scrolling capture, but first check that the Hindi text displays correctly in the browser: a screenshot preserves what is on screen; it cannot repair missing letters, matras, or conjuncts. On a phone, use Safari’s Full Page option on iPhone or your Android device’s Capture more or Scroll capture control if available. If those controls are missing or the result is incomplete, capture the page from a desktop browser and inspect the saved file before sharing it.
Check the Hindi text before capturing
Look closely at the live webpage first. If Devanagari characters, vowel marks (matras), or conjuncts are already missing or broken, the capture will record that same display. Reload the page, try an updated browser, or open the page in another browser to see whether the text renders differently. The cause may depend on the site’s fonts, page code, browser, or device, so a screenshot alone cannot diagnose it.
If the text is simply too small to inspect, increase page zoom or try a supported reading mode. On Android Chrome, Google documents controls for zooming the current page and setting a default zoom; zoom is a legibility adjustment, not a guaranteed fix for faulty Hindi rendering. Google’s Android accessibility guidance for page zoom explains the controls. Chrome Reading mode may offer a different typeface and font size on eligible pages, but some pages are not available in Reading mode. Take a scrolling screenshot on your phone
iPhone: Safari Full Page
- Open the webpage in Safari and wait for the Hindi text and any page content you need to appear.
- Take a screenshot using your iPhone’s usual screenshot controls.
- Open the screenshot preview and choose Full Page if that option is offered.
- Use the export options shown by your iOS version to save the result. Safari’s full-page capture may save as a PDF rather than a long PNG image.
- Open the saved file and check that it includes the whole page and that the text remains legible.
The exact export choices depend on the iOS version. If you need a conventional image file, check the available options rather than assuming Full Page produces a PNG.
Android: use the device’s available scroll capture
- Open the page in your browser, confirm that the Hindi text looks right, and let the page load.
- Take a screenshot with your device’s usual controls.
- Look for Capture more, Scroll capture, or a similar option in the screenshot preview or toolbar.
- Extend the capture through the content you need, then save and inspect the result.
Android does not have one guaranteed menu path for every device. The label, location, and availability of scroll capture vary by device maker, Android version, and the app or screen. If the control is absent, use a desktop browser’s full-page capture or save or print the page to PDF where that suits your needs. Google’s Android accessibility help covers page zoom, not a universal scrolling-screenshot procedure.

Capture a full page on a desktop
Desktop capture is a useful fallback when a phone has no scrolling control or its result misses content. Firefox and Edge have built-in full-page capture routes. Chrome desktop offers a full-size screenshot workflow through DevTools; interfaces can change, so check the current browser UI if a command is unavailable.

- Open the webpage in Chrome and allow it to finish loading.
- Open DevTools.
- Open the DevTools command menu and search for Capture full size screenshot.
- Select the command, then inspect the saved image for missing or repeated sections.
If the command is not present, check Chrome’s current DevTools interface or use the built-in full-page capture in Firefox or Edge. Browser steps and labels may change. A browser’s full-page capture is generally an image-oriented route; if you specifically need a PDF, use a suitable print or save-to-PDF option and verify the exported pages.

Prevent missing sections and awkward overlaps
Long captures can fail even when the Hindi text itself renders properly. Pages may load images or other content only as you scroll, and a full-page capture may handle sticky elements or internal scroll areas differently from the visible page.
- Wait for loading to finish. Scroll through the page first if it loads content lazily, then capture.
- Check nested scroll panels. If the text is inside a panel that scrolls independently, a page-level capture may not include all of that panel. Capture the panel separately if it contains the material you need.
- Watch for repeated interface elements. Sticky headers, floating chat controls, and overlays may appear more than once or cover content in a long capture.
- Inspect the final file. Confirm it reaches the end of the page and that important text is neither clipped nor repeated.
- Compare methods when needed. If only the scrolling capture breaks or omits content, make a short test with the browser’s native full-page option and compare it with the device capture.
When choosing a method, consider whether it captures the whole document, whether it produces an image or PDF, whether the text is readable at the size you will use, and how it handles lazy content, sticky elements, and nested scroll areas.

Troubleshoot a broken or incomplete screenshot
The Hindi letters are broken in the image
Compare the image with the live webpage. If the same letters are broken in the browser, reload, try an updated browser, or open the page elsewhere. The capture cannot fix a font or page-rendering problem. If the live page looks correct but the long image does not, compare a short capture made with the browser’s native full-page option.
The screenshot ends too early
Wait for the page to load and scroll through it before capturing if it reveals content on demand. On Android, check whether the device’s scroll-capture control can extend farther. If not, try a desktop full-page capture or save the page as a PDF.

Text is missing from a scrollable box
Check whether the content is in an internal scroll panel rather than the page itself. A page-level capture may not include everything inside that panel; capture the panel separately if possible.
The image contains repeated sections or covered text
Look for sticky headers, floating controls, or overlays. Try the browser’s native full-page route if a device scrolling capture repeats or covers content, then inspect the output at readable magnification before sharing or deleting the original page.

Does a scrolling screenshot fix broken Hindi text?
No. It records the page as rendered. If the Hindi is already broken in the browser, the image will preserve that display.
Will Safari save a full-page screenshot as a long image?
Not necessarily. Safari’s Full Page option may save as a PDF; check the export options on your iOS version.
Why can’t I find Scroll capture on Android?
Its availability and label depend on the device, Android version, and app or screen. There is no single path that applies to every Android device.
