On a Samsung Galaxy A02s, first try the built-in Assistant menu: it can put an on-screen Screenshot control within reach without pressing the power key. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity > Assistant menu, turn it on, then check the floating menu for Screenshot. If that action is missing, try Palm swipe to capture if your software includes it.
Feature availability and menu names can vary by software version, carrier, and region. The A02s manual documents Assistant menu, but does not confirm that Screenshot appears as an action on every A02s build.
Use the Assistant menu for an on-screen Screenshot control
Assistant menu is the most direct option if you want a visible control to tap rather than a physical-key combination. Samsung’s Galaxy A02s manual documents it as an accessibility feature under Interaction and dexterity. Samsung Community guidance says Screenshots is included by default among the menu’s selectable items, but that specific action is not enumerated in the A02s manual, so check your phone’s menu.

- Tap Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity > Assistant menu.
- Turn on Assistant menu.
- Open the floating Assistant menu and look for Screenshot. If it is not visible, return to Assistant menu settings and inspect Select Assistant menu items. You can also search Settings for “Assistant menu.”
- Tap Screenshot to capture the current screen.
The floating control may overlap content. Depending on your software build, you may be able to move it; you can also switch Assistant menu off when you no longer need it.

Try Palm swipe to capture if your phone supports it
Palm swipe is a gesture-based alternative that does not require a floating control. Samsung says the function may not be available on all Galaxy phones, and its general instructions are not an A02s-specific compatibility guarantee.
- Open Settings and search for Palm swipe to capture. If the setting appears, the usual Samsung path is Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture.
- Enable Palm swipe to capture.
- Place the edge of your hand against one side of the display and sweep it across to the other side.
If the setting is absent or the swipe does not capture the screen, use Assistant menu if Screenshot is available there. Palm swipe requires both support on your build and the setting to be enabled.

Choose the method that fits your build and how you use the phone

Neither method is established as universally faster or more reliable on the A02s. The model family has Android 10 and Android 11 manual variants listed by Samsung Support Pakistan, so software differences are a practical reason to check your own settings rather than assume every menu will match.
Find the screenshot and understand capture failures
Samsung says screenshots are saved in Gallery > Albums > Screenshots. A brief screen flash or preview may indicate that a capture succeeded.

Some apps and protected content block screenshots. Samsung notes that a message such as “Can’t take screenshot due to security measure.” may appear, and that screenshots are prevented in certain places and by certain apps, including banking apps. This is a content restriction, not necessarily a problem with Assistant menu or the palm gesture.
If general Android screenshot instructions do not work, Google Android Help advises checking the phone manufacturer’s support guidance. For the A02s, verify which features and labels are present on your current software build.

Why the steps may look different on your A02s
Samsung’s A02s manual confirms the Assistant menu location but does not list Screenshot as a guaranteed action. The palm-swipe steps come from Samsung’s general Galaxy support, which explicitly warns that the feature may not be available on every Galaxy phone. Carrier, region, and software version can also affect labels and availability; the Android 10 and Android 11 manual variants for the A02s model family illustrate why menu paths may differ.
