To capture a Flipkart product page for a delivery destination, use Puppeteer to open the product, interact with the location control shown on the live page, wait until the page visibly reflects the destination or updated delivery result, and then call page.screenshot(). Flipkart’s current control names and selectors are not established here, so inspect the page rather than relying on a guessed selector.
What the workflow can—and cannot—automate reliably
Puppeteer can automate browser interactions and capture the rendered page. Its screenshot guide shows navigation followed by an image capture, and its API reference documents screenshot options such as full-page capture and clipping. Puppeteer’s screenshot guide and Page.screenshot() reference describe those capabilities.
The uncertain part is Flipkart’s location-entry interface. The reviewed material does not establish a current stable selector, exact dialog sequence, or supported public consumer API for changing a shopper’s delivery location. Flipkart’s seller shipment API documents a recipient pincode for shipment operations; that is not evidence of a consumer API for changing the location in a product-page session. - Inspect the page manually. Open the product in a browser and locate the visible delivery-location control. Determine whether it opens a dialog, expands an input, or presents another interaction. These details may change, so derive selectors from the current page rather than copying an unverified example.
- Inspect the resulting DOM. Use browser developer tools to identify selectors for the control, input, submit action, and a visible result that confirms the destination or delivery estimate changed. Prefer a meaningful confirmation over a generic page element that was present before submission.
- Set the location as a visitor would. Click the location control, enter the pincode, and submit using the observed controls. If the page requires an additional choice or confirmation, include that step in the script.
- Wait for the update, then capture. Puppeteer’s
page.waitForSelector()can wait for an element and require it to be visible; it rejects if the configured timeout expires. Choose a selector that represents the post-update state. Puppeteer Page.waitForSelector() reference
For text-based confirmation, you can also wait on a DOM condition that checks the visible text you observed. Choose the condition from the actual interface; do not assume a particular phrase or selector will remain stable. A wait only proves the condition you wrote became true—it does not independently validate that the destination is correct.
Choose the screenshot composition
The example captures the full page with { fullPage: true }. For a viewport-only image, omit that option. Puppeteer’s documented screenshot options also support clipping to a specified rectangle when you need a particular region. See the screenshot API reference for supported options and current details.

Troubleshooting
The location control never appears
Check that the product URL loaded and inspect the page for a changed layout, an overlay, or a control that requires scrolling or another interaction. A timeout from waitForSelector() means the selector did not match a visible element within the allotted time; it does not tell you which selector should replace it.
The script captures before delivery updates
Replace any wait for a generic element with a condition that becomes true only after the destination has been applied, such as a visible updated location or delivery result. Increase the timeout only if the page legitimately needs longer; a longer wait cannot fix an incorrect condition.
The page loads but the product content is incomplete
The example waits for domcontentloaded, which is a navigation milestone, not proof that every asynchronously rendered product or delivery element is ready. Wait for the specific content needed for the screenshot, then wait separately for the location update.

The screenshot has the wrong destination or stale delivery details
Verify the pincode entered, the confirmation condition, and the visible result before capture. Availability and delivery estimates can vary by destination and time, so retain the pincode and timestamp with the file if the image will be used as evidence.
