To capture a webpage beyond the visible screen, use your device’s scrolling-screenshot feature or your desktop browser’s full-page capture tool. On iPhone, choose Full Page after taking a screenshot in Safari; on Android 12 or later, use Capture more on a scrollable screen. On desktop, Firefox has a documented full-page capture button in Developer Tools, while Chrome’s DevTools route is described in Google’s product community rather than formal Chrome Help.
The steps and saved format vary: some methods create an image, while Firefox for iOS documents saving the full-page capture as a PDF. Choose the instructions for your device below.
What a full-page screenshot captures
A regular screenshot records what is visible on the display at that moment. A full-page or scrolling screenshot extends beyond the viewport to include more of a webpage. On a phone, the operating system or browser may stitch the scrollable content into a longer capture. On a computer, a browser’s developer tools can capture the page beyond the window.
There is no universal keyboard shortcut or menu path: the available method depends on the browser, device, and operating-system version. Also check the output format before you start. A long capture may be saved as an image, or—as in Mozilla’s documented Firefox for iOS workflow—as a PDF.

Take a full-page screenshot in Firefox on desktop
Firefox’s Developer Tools include a button to take a screenshot of the entire page. Mozilla’s Firefox Source Docs say the capture is saved to the browser’s Downloads directory.
- Open the webpage you want to capture in Firefox.
- Open Developer Tools. If the screenshot icon is not visible in the Developer Tools toolbar, open its settings and find Available Toolbox Buttons.
- Enable Take a screenshot of the entire page.
- Click the screenshot button in the toolbar to capture the page. Find the saved file in your Downloads directory.
Firefox can also capture an individual element, but that is a different operation from capturing the entire page. Use the full-page control when you need the page rather than one selected element. See Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot documentation for the documented controls.
Take a full-page screenshot on iPhone
Apple documents full-page screenshots for content such as an entire webpage in Safari. The precise button combination for taking an ordinary screenshot depends on the iPhone model; Apple also lists Siri, AssistiveTouch, and Back Tap as alternatives.
- Open the webpage in Safari and take a screenshot using the method supported by your iPhone.
- Tap the screenshot preview before it disappears.
- Choose Full Page to view the longer capture, then inspect and crop it if needed.
- Save or share the result using the options shown on your iPhone.

Save a long page as a PDF in Firefox for iOS
If you use Firefox on iPhone and want a document rather than a single image file, Mozilla documents this route:
- Take a screenshot with the iPhone’s normal screenshot action.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail and choose Full Page.
- Tap Done, then choose Save as PDF.

Take a scrolling screenshot on Android
Google’s Android instructions apply to Android 12 and later on most screens that allow scrolling. Availability can vary by device and screen.
- Open the scrollable page or screen and take a screenshot using your device’s supported button action.
- Tap Capture more when the option appears.
- Adjust the crop guides to include the content you want, then save the capture.

Use Chrome’s Long screenshot option on Android
Google Chrome Help separately documents a long screenshot workflow in Chrome for Android:
- Open the webpage in Chrome.
- Tap More, then Share.
- Choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the crop handles to extend the capture, then save or share it using the options shown.
The menu wording and availability may vary with the app version and locale. If the option is missing, check the current Chrome interface and version. The steps are in Google Chrome Help.
Take a full-page screenshot in Chrome on desktop
A Google Chrome Community response describes a DevTools method, but this is community guidance rather than formal Chrome Help documentation. Chrome labels or command availability may change by version.
- Open the webpage in Chrome and open Developer Tools.
- Open the DevTools command menu.
- Search for Capture full size screenshot and choose that command if it is available.

What about Edge and Safari on Mac?
Current official capture instructions for Microsoft Edge and Safari on macOS are not established here, so no specific menu path is given. Browser menus can change, and an outdated or unofficial path may not match your installation. For either browser, check the vendor’s current support documentation for your operating-system and browser version before relying on a particular workflow.

Troubleshoot a missing or incomplete capture
- There is no scrolling or full-page option on your phone. On Android, confirm that the device runs Android 12 or later and try a screen that actually scrolls. Google limits its guidance to most scrollable screens; if the option remains unavailable, consult your device maker.
- Firefox desktop has no screenshot button. Open Developer Tools settings and enable Take a screenshot of the entire page under Available Toolbox Buttons.
- Chrome on Android has no Long screenshot action. Check the current Chrome version, locale, and share menu. Google’s documented route does not establish availability in every version.
- Chrome desktop has no matching command. The cited route comes from a community response, so the command or its label may differ. Check current Chrome guidance for your version.
- You expected an image but received a PDF. Firefox for iOS documents a Save as PDF route. Choose a method whose documented output matches what you need.
These methods are not verified for every website, embedded scroll area, or unusually long page. If a capture stops early or omits content, the cited platform instructions do not establish that every page layout is supported; try another documented route or capture the content in sections.
