Use Chrome DevTools’ Capture a full size screenshot command to save the whole webpage, including content below the visible screen. It is built into Chrome, so you do not need an extension. If the page is a logged-in My Aadhaar service, inspect the entire image and redact personal details before sharing it.
Capture the whole Aadhaar page in Chrome
- Open the UIDAI information page or My Aadhaar service page you want to capture. Wait for the visible content to finish loading.
- Open Chrome DevTools. On Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+Shift+I; on macOS, press Command+Option+I. Shortcuts can vary with Chrome configuration.
- In DevTools, open More options and select Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome documents this as the command for capturing the whole page, including content outside the viewport: Chrome DevTools screenshot instructions.
- Find the resulting file using Chrome’s download behavior, then open it and inspect it from top to bottom. The precise save location can depend on your operating system and Chrome settings.
Do not choose Capture screenshot if you need the entire page: that command captures only what is currently visible.
If you cannot find the command
As a practical fallback, open the DevTools Command Menu and search for “screenshot” or “full size screenshot.” Menu wording and availability can vary by Chrome version; the documented route is More options → Capture a full size screenshot.

Check for sensitive Aadhaar information before sharing
A full-page image may contain information below the portion you were looking at. Review the complete screenshot before sending or publishing it. Redact Aadhaar numbers and other identifiers, OTPs, account details, and any other personal information that appears. Never share an OTP.

- For a support request, include only the portion needed to explain the problem, and redact unrelated personal data.
- If an authenticated personal-services screen is not necessary, consider capturing a public UIDAI information page instead.
- UIDAI describes My Aadhaar as a login-based portal with Aadhaar-related services. Its FAQ says users can log in with an Aadhaar number and an OTP sent to the registered mobile number, while noting that some services can be accessed without that mobile number. See the UIDAI FAQ.
- UIDAI service pages list functions such as Aadhaar retrieval and verification, Virtual ID generation, authentication history, biometric security, Aadhaar download, and masked Aadhaar; some actions require a mobile OTP. See UIDAI Aadhaar services and My Aadhaar.
This is practical privacy advice based on what a full-page capture may include, not a statement of a UIDAI screenshot-specific rule.
When an extension may be useful
Chrome’s built-in DevTools command is enough for a basic whole-page capture and avoids installing extra software. An optional extension may suit someone who wants annotation or image/PDF export: the GoFullPage Chrome Web Store listing describes whole-page capture and image/PDF export. It is third-party software and is not required for this task.

Consider whether you need export or annotation features, whether the page includes interactive or nested scrolling areas, and whether installing software is appropriate for an authenticated identity-services page. Review the extension’s current listing, permissions, and privacy disclosures before installing it. The available information does not establish that an extension is safer or more reliable than DevTools on a particular Aadhaar page.
