Sign in to the page in your own browser, then use Firefox’s built-in screenshot tool to capture the full page. Right-click an empty area, choose Take Screenshot, and select Save full page. This uses the session already open in Firefox; it does not bypass a login or guarantee that every site’s protected or dynamic content will appear.
Capture the logged-in page in Firefox
- Open Firefox and sign in to the website using your own account.
- Navigate to the page and the state you want to preserve. Expand any sections or load content that needs a click or scroll.
- Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- Choose Save full page. Use Save visible only if you want the portion currently on screen.
- Select Download to save a PNG to Firefox’s default download folder, or select Copy to copy the image to the clipboard.
- Open the saved image and check that the required content is present. If anything is missing, return to the page, load or reveal it, then capture again.
Firefox’s screenshot interface operates on the page currently open in the browser, which is why this method can use your existing signed-in session. Mozilla documents screenshots of the current page, but does not promise that every login-protected page, embedded resource, or dynamic interface will capture correctly. Keep the capture in your own authorized session; do not share session credentials to obtain a screenshot.
Use Firefox Developer Tools for more control
For a full-page capture from Developer Tools, open Developer Tools settings and, under Available Toolbox Buttons, enable Take a screenshot of the entire page. Click the screenshot button in the toolbox; Firefox saves the image to Downloads. Mozilla also documents capturing a whole page or a single element with Developer Tools.

Mozilla’s screenshot helper also supports options for a filename, delay, device-pixel ratio, clipboard output, and a CSS selector for a single element. For example, a delay can give a menu or hover state time to appear. Available options and exact syntax can vary by Firefox version, so check the installed browser’s command help if an option is rejected. Choose the simpler or more controlled route

When content is missing or the capture fails
- Only the visible viewport appears: choose Save full page in the screenshot interface, or use
:screenshot page.png --fullpagein the Web Console. - A section is blank or absent: the page may load it only after scrolling, clicking, or waiting. Return to the signed-in page, perform the interaction that reveals the content, and capture again.
- A menu or hover state disappears: use the Developer Tools console’s delay option, if supported by your installed Firefox version, to capture after the state appears.
- The console rejects an option: check the screenshot command syntax supported by your Firefox version; Mozilla notes that available behavior may vary.
- The capture is not authorized or access has expired: sign in again through the site’s normal flow and confirm the page is accessible before capturing. A screenshot feature cannot grant access to protected content.

Protect sensitive screenshots
A screenshot can expose account details or private information visible on the page. Check the image before sharing it, and store or send it only through a channel appropriate for that content.
