In Microsoft Edge on a Mac, open the webpage, select the three-dot Settings and more menu, choose Screenshot, then choose Capture full page. Review the result and copy or save it. This captures the scrollable webpage, not just what is currently visible on your screen.
Capture the whole webpage in Edge for Mac
- Open the webpage in Microsoft Edge.
- Open Settings and more by clicking the three-dot menu at the top right of the browser.
- Select Screenshot. You can also right-click the webpage and choose Screenshot.
- Choose Capture full page to capture content below the visible screen.
- Review the capture in the overlay. Add markup if needed, then copy the image or save it to files.
Microsoft describes Edge Screenshot as capturing a full page or selected area, including long or moving webpages, and allowing markup before copying or saving. A moving item such as a GIF or carousel may appear at the frame visible when the capture is made. Microsoft cautions that availability and functionality may vary by device, market, and browser version, so the exact behavior may differ between installations in India. Choose the right capture option
- Capture full page: Use this for the entire scrollable webpage, including material below the screen.
- Capture area: Use this when you need only a selected portion of the page.
Edge’s tool can capture beyond the currently visible screen without manually scrolling through the page. If the page contains animated or changing content, the result may preserve the frame visible at capture time rather than every frame of the animation.
Does Ctrl+Shift+S work on a Mac?
Microsoft’s feature page advertises Ctrl+Shift+S, but Microsoft’s separate keyboard-shortcut reference for Edge on Mac does not list Screenshot/Web Capture as a Mac shortcut. Treat that key combination as version-dependent rather than a verified Mac command. If it does not open the tool, use Settings and more → Screenshot or right-click the page and choose Screenshot.

If Screenshot is missing
- Check both the three-dot Settings and more menu and the webpage’s right-click menu.
- Confirm that you are using Microsoft Edge; this is an Edge feature, not a macOS full-page capture command.
- If this is a work- or school-managed Mac, an administrator may control access. Microsoft’s policy documentation identifies Screenshot as the feature formerly called Web Capture and lists macOS support beginning with Edge 87. Why Mac screenshot shortcuts are different
macOS keyboard shortcuts capture the screen or a selected area, not the complete scrollable webpage in Edge. Apple documents Shift-Command-3 for the whole screen and Shift-Command-4 for a selected area. Use Edge’s Capture full page when you need the page content below the visible screen.
