Use Chrome DevTools’ Capture a full size screenshot command to save an entire web app page, including content below the visible screen. It is built into Chrome; you do not need to stitch together multiple screenshots.
Capture the entire page in Chrome

Open the web app page in Chrome and wait for the content you want to capture to load.

Open DevTools. On a Mac, try Option+Command+I; if that shortcut is unavailable or has changed in your setup, open developer tools from Chrome’s menus.

In DevTools, click Toggle device toolbar in the action bar.

In the device toolbar, open More options and select Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome captures the whole page, including content outside the visible viewport. The image is downloaded; use Chrome’s download indicator or your configured download location to find it. The exact filename and location depend on your Chrome and download settings.
Google documents this workflow in its Device Mode documentation, last updated February 20, 2024. Menu wording can change; if you do not see the command, search for “screenshot” in DevTools’ Command Menu and check the options in your installed Chrome version.
Choose the capture mode that matches your goal

Capture a selected area
Open the DevTools Command Menu on Mac with Command+Shift+P, type “screenshot,” then choose Capture area screenshot and drag over the region. Google’s Command Menu documentation, last updated September 4, 2024, notes that area capture does not work when DevTools is undocked.

Capture a selected page element
In the Elements panel, select the HTML element you want, then use the Command Menu to find Capture node screenshot. Google described this workflow in a Chrome 62 DevTools article; because that article is historical, confirm the command is available in your current Chrome version rather than assuming its interface is unchanged.
Capture a mobile-style layout on your Mac
Turn on the Device toolbar, then use its Dimensions control to choose a responsive viewport or device profile before capturing. This changes the page’s simulated viewport on your Mac; it does not run the web app on a physical phone. Google explains the distinction in its Device Mode documentation.

The screenshot includes only the visible screen. You may have selected Capture screenshot, which captures the viewport. Use Capture a full size screenshot for the entire page.

You cannot find the full-size command. Confirm the Device toolbar is enabled and open its More options menu. If the current Chrome interface differs, search “screenshot” in the DevTools Command Menu and inspect the available commands.

An area capture command does not work. Dock DevTools; Google documents that area screenshot capture does not work while DevTools is undocked.

Some page content is missing. Wait for the content you need to load before capturing. The documented workflow captures the page, but the documentation does not specify how every web app’s delayed, interactive, or authenticated content behaves.

You cannot find the saved image. Check Chrome’s download indicator and the download location configured in Chrome. There is no universal filename or folder established by the documented workflow.

Chrome’s built-in DevTools capture is the direct, no-extra-service method for a manual screenshot. The cited documentation does not publish a capture-time benchmark or a usage statistic, so results will depend on the page and your setup.
