Use PHP to control a browser renderer, then enable its full-page screenshot option. With Playwright PHP, that is fullPage => true; with Spatie Browsershot, call fullPage(). Wait for the page and its Hindi text to finish rendering before saving, then inspect the image in the same runtime you use in production.
What you need to capture
PHP does not render a website into a screenshot by itself. It needs to control a browser renderer. Two PHP-facing choices are Playwright PHP and Spatie Browsershot, which uses Puppeteer and headless Chrome. The browser loads the site, lays out the Hindi text, and captures the rendered page.
A full-page capture includes the scrollable page beyond the visible viewport. It is different from a viewport screenshot, which records only what is currently on screen. For reliable output, navigate to the page, wait for the state you want to capture, and then request the full-page image.
Choose a PHP browser approach
| Approach | Capture call | What to check before adopting it |
|---|---|---|
| Playwright PHP | $page->screenshot($path, ['fullPage' => true]); |
Use the API for the package version installed in your project, and confirm your deployment can run its browser runtime. |
| Spatie Browsershot | ->fullPage()->save($path); |
Browsershot drives Puppeteer/headless Chrome. Confirm the current package requirements and that the server can run the required browser process. |
The documentation establishes these capture methods but not a universal PHP, operating-system, and package-version compatibility matrix. Check the current installation instructions for your chosen package and environment before copying a setup command.

Capture a full-page screenshot with Playwright PHP
The following illustrates the documented navigation and full-page screenshot pattern. It assumes $page is an initialized Playwright page in your application; initialization and installation depend on the package version and runtime you choose.
<?php
$page->goto('https://example.com/hi');
// Replace this with a selector or readiness condition specific to the site.
// Wait until the content you intend to capture is present.
$page->locator('h1')->waitFor();
$page->screenshot(__DIR__ . '/hindi-full.png', [
'fullPage' => true,
]);
Replace the example URL and readiness selector with the target page and a meaningful condition for its content. A generic heading can be present before the Hindi text or below-the-fold content has loaded; use a selector that represents the actual content you need.

Playwright’s screenshot captures the page as it looks at the time of capture. It does not record the sequence of actions that produced that state. If the site loads sections after scrolling or interaction, perform those actions and wait for the resulting content before taking the screenshot.

Browsershot provides a PHP API for rendering a URL through Puppeteer/headless Chrome. The documented full-page pattern is:
<?php
use SpatieBrowsershotBrowsershot;
Browsershot::url('https://example.com/hi')
->fullPage()
->save(__DIR__ . '/hindi-full.png');
For a page that fills in asynchronously, configure the capture flow to wait for a page-specific condition before saving. The exact available wait methods and setup requirements can vary with the Browsershot version; consult the current Browsershot v4 usage documentation for the API in your installed version.
JavaScript alerts, prompts, and confirmations can interrupt rendering and leave an empty screenshot. If the target page can open one, resolve or suppress the dialog in the capture flow as appropriate.

Check Hindi text and full-page content
The browser shapes Devanagari text as part of rendering the page, so verify the output in the same operating-system or container image used for production. The available browser screenshot documentation does not certify a particular Hindi font setup or font package.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Confirm Devanagari characters display rather than tofu boxes.
- Look closely at vowel signs and conjuncts to check that the text is shaped correctly.
- Inspect content below the initial viewport to confirm the full-page image includes it.
- If production differs from local output, inspect the fonts available to the browser runtime and verify that any required web fonts have loaded before capture.
For visual regression work, keep the viewport, fonts, browser version, animations, and page data controlled. Otherwise, a pixel difference may come from the rendering environment rather than a change in the site.
Long pages and practical limits
A full-page image of a very long page can be unwieldy to inspect, store, or pass to another system. If the page is exceptionally long, consider whether the task needs one tall image or whether capturing particular sections is more useful. A full-page option asks the browser for the whole scrollable page; it does not make delayed or interaction-dependent content appear unless the page reaches the state you intend to capture.

| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Image contains only the visible viewport | The screenshot call omitted the full-page option. | For Playwright, set fullPage to true. For Browsershot, call fullPage() before saving. |
| Hindi content is missing or incomplete | The screenshot was taken before asynchronous content or web fonts finished loading. | Wait for a page-specific selector or readiness condition, and verify required web fonts are loaded before capture. |
| Devanagari characters appear as boxes or look malformed | The browser runtime may not have the fonts needed for the page, or the fonts may not have loaded. | Inspect the fonts available in the production runtime, wait for web fonts where applicable, and review the generated image there. |
| Browsershot produces an empty image | A JavaScript alert, prompt, or confirmation may have stopped rendering. | Handle or suppress the dialog in the capture flow, where appropriate. |
| Local screenshots differ from production | The rendering environments may differ in browser version, fonts, viewport, animations, or page data. | Control those inputs for repeatable captures and compare output from the deployment runtime. |
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Send one GET request with the target URL to receive a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its cleanup steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
Here is the one-call cURL example; replace the URL with the Hindi page you want to capture. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://example.com/hi -o shot.webp

Frequently Asked Questions
Can PHP take a full-page screenshot without a browser?
Not with the documented approaches here: PHP controls a browser renderer such as Playwright PHP or Browsershot to render the page and capture it.
Does full-page capture guarantee that all lazy-loaded content appears?
No. Wait for the content and page state you want first; content that loads only after scrolling or interaction may require those actions before capture.
