To capture an entire webpage in Chrome—not just the part currently visible—use DevTools’ Capture full size screenshot command. Open the page, press Ctrl+Shift+I, then Ctrl+Shift+P, search for the command and select it. Chrome downloads the screenshot as an image.
Capture the whole webpage in Chrome
- Open the webpage in Chrome and allow its content to load.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+I to open Chrome DevTools.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open DevTools’ command menu.
- Type Capture full size screenshot in the command search.
- Select the matching command. Chrome captures the full page and downloads an image file.
- Check Chrome’s download tray. If you have not changed Chrome’s download location, look in Windows’ Downloads folder.
The command captures content extending below the visible browser window. It is different from taking a screenshot of the current screen.
Where to find the downloaded screenshot
Chrome uses its configured download location. If that setting has not been changed, Chrome Help identifies the default folder on Windows 10 and later as Users<username>Downloads. You can also check Chrome’s download tray to open the file or its containing folder. Chrome Help: Download a file

If the command is missing or the shortcut does not work
- Confirm DevTools is open. The command menu shortcut Ctrl+Shift+P is used inside DevTools, after opening it with Ctrl+Shift+I.
- Use the DevTools menu. If the shortcut is unavailable in your current layout, open the DevTools menu and choose Run command.
- Search for “screenshot.” If the exact command does not appear immediately, search that word and look for Capture full size screenshot.
- Check device restrictions. A work- or school-managed laptop may have policies that restrict DevTools or downloads. Availability can depend on the device configuration.
- Check the download location. If Chrome reports a download but you do not see the image in Downloads, its configured location may have been changed; check Chrome’s download tray and download settings.
Chrome’s controls can change between versions. The command name is a more reliable guide than expecting it at a particular menu position. The documented workflow does not establish version-specific UI differences or India-specific variations.

Why Windows screenshot shortcuts are different
Windows logo key + PrtScn takes a screenshot of the display; it does not capture the entire webpage extending below the viewport. A community reply also cites Fn + Windows logo key + Space as a fallback on devices without a PrtScn key, but that is not Chrome’s full-page capture command. For a scrolling webpage, use DevTools’ Capture full size screenshot.
When to save or print the page instead
Use Chrome’s Save page as when you want to save a webpage rather than produce one long image. Print to PDF is another option when a document is more useful than an image; it produces a different deliverable from a full-page screenshot.
