You can keep recorded banking exam classes available as a continuous YouTube livestream by sending a playlist or video to YouTube through an encoder, using a dedicated hardware encoder, or running the prerecorded feed through a cloud service. For a local setup, YouTube needs a verified, eligible channel and an encoder connected to the stream URL and key shown in YouTube Studio. Test the complete stream before sharing it: YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours, so do not assume one broadcast will stay live indefinitely.
Choose how to run the prerecorded stream
For a channel that needs lessons available around the clock, the key choice is who keeps the video feed running and how the feed resumes after a failure. A scheduled prerecorded broadcast is not necessarily an endless loop, and a livestream that viewers can open at any time is different from a technically uninterrupted broadcast lasting 24 hours or longer.
| Approach | Best fit | Trade-off to check |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo — cloud 24/7 prerecorded streaming | You want a YouTube feed running without leaving a computer on at home. | It plays uploaded videos, supports playlists and 24/7 looping, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams at the quality supplied for one flat price per slot; the first day is free. |
| Local software encoder | You have a reliable computer and want direct control of the encoder and playlist. | Your computer, power, internet connection, encoder configuration, and stream recovery remain your responsibility. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | You want a standalone appliance rather than a general-purpose computer. | YouTube’s encoder directory describes AJA HELO Plus and PlayToStream as options for scheduling prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. Confirm that a device’s scheduling and rotation behavior matches your requirements before buying. |
| Scheduled prerecorded broadcasts | You want finite lessons or events to start automatically at planned times. | StreamYard documents scheduled prerecorded streams, but their maximum duration depends on plan and the stream ends when the uploaded video finishes. Automatic prerecorded mode does not provide studio overlays or on-stream comment display; it is not evidence of an endless loop. |
For any provider or device, check whether it loops a playlist or only plays one file, maximum duration, restart and handoff behavior, archive handling, chat moderation, supported quality, analytics, current India availability, current price, and what happens after a disconnect. Provider prices, local internet reliability, and uptime guarantees are not established here, so verify those details directly before purchasing.
Check channel eligibility before planning a launch
YouTube’s live-stream requirements say the channel must be verified, must have no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the creator must be at least 16 years old. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours. Check eligibility and activate live streaming well before announcing a start time. (YouTube Help)

Set up a local encoder stream
This is the do-it-yourself route for a software encoder that sends a prerecorded lesson or playlist to YouTube. YouTube’s encoder directory also includes hardware options; use the device’s own instructions for its controls and scheduling. In YouTube Studio, the encoder workflow uses the stream URL and stream key shown in the Live Control Room.
- Prepare the channel: Verify it and confirm it is eligible for live streaming. Allow time for first-time activation.
- Prepare the lesson files: Put recordings in the intended teaching order, use clear titles for subjects and exam topics, and decide whether to include a break or intermission slate. Check that narration is audible and that slides, diagrams, and embedded media are legible.
- Open YouTube Studio: Select Create > Go Live to create an encoder stream, or use Manage > Schedule stream to schedule one. Scheduling lets you promote the event and share its URL in advance.
- Connect the encoder: In the Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the stream.
- Set a sustainable video output: Choose resolution and frame rate that your source and upload connection can maintain. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations list 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that the connection at your location can sustain them. YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a 2-second keyframe interval, and recommends RTMPS for an encrypted connection.
- Test before going public: Use representative footage, movement, and audio; check the encoder’s output and the Live Control Room preview and stream health. YouTube recommends running a speed test to test upload bitrate. Select a quality the actual connection can sustain, rather than relying on a brief speed-test peak.
- Start the scheduled broadcast: Wait until the encoder preview appears in the Live Control Room, then select Go live. Monitor stream health after launch and check that the playlist advances as intended.
- Plan for the end of a broadcast: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For a 24/7 channel, test a restart, rotation, or handoff plan end to end instead of assuming a single broadcast will run indefinitely.
Use the upload-time calculator to estimate how long your recordings may take to upload before launch.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping prerecorded videos live on YouTube. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. The service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- Each slot streams the uploaded video as supplied, up to 4K 60fps, for one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers.
- Each slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across your active slots, along with 24/7 looping, playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team.
- The first day is free with no card required; there is one free day per account. Plans are available for a day, a week, a month, 6 months, or a year, and you can cancel any time. UPI and cards are supported in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Contact support for 5 or more slots.
- Monthly pricing: $9.99 per month.

Make the rotation useful for exam preparation
A continuous feed is easier to follow when the order is deliberate. Group classes by exam, subject, and topic; use descriptive video titles and, where practical, an opening slate that tells viewers what is playing. If classes have breaks between them, use an intermission slate or a clear transition rather than leaving viewers with unexplained silence or a frozen image. Tell viewers in the stream description that the feed is prerecorded.
Keep rights for lessons and embedded material
Only stream recordings and assets you have permission to use. That includes music, images, clips, and other third-party material embedded in a lesson, not just the educator’s lecture recording. Keep permission records accessible. YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service apply to livestream content; violations can result in removal, age restriction, strikes, or loss of streaming access. Platform documentation cannot determine who owns a particular educator’s recordings.
Use the copyright safety checklist to review the material you plan to include.
Moderate chat while lessons run
Assign someone to monitor chat when possible, especially during high-traffic sessions, and set clear expectations for questions and conduct. A prerecorded feed still has live chat and is still subject to YouTube’s live-content rules.

YouTube documents automatic archiving for streams under 12 hours. That archive rule does not establish that a longer broadcast will be archived in full, or that a scheduled or looping setup will restart automatically. If preserving a replay matters, test the exact duration and handoff arrangement you plan to use.
Rank #4
Eligible creators may monetize livestreams with ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships. Eligibility and stream settings affect what is available, and ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. YouTube reported an average “over 20% uplift in instream ad revenue per hour” among channels that enabled live automatic mid-roll ads compared with channels that did not, across 207 countries in January 2024. This is a platform-reported average comparison, not a forecast or revenue guarantee for an individual banking exam channel. (YouTube, 2024 measurement)
Troubleshoot common failures
| What you see | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a live stream. | The channel is not verified or eligible, has a recent live restriction, or first-time activation is still processing. | Review channel eligibility and verification, check for restrictions, and allow up to 24 hours for initial activation before launch. |
| The Live Control Room does not show an encoder preview. | The encoder is not sending a feed, or the stream URL or key is incorrect. | Confirm the encoder is running and that its URL and key match the current stream in the Live Control Room. If necessary, copy the current values again and reconnect. |
| The stream buffers, drops frames, or has poor stream health. | The selected output exceeds the upload connection’s sustainable capacity, or the connection is unstable. | Test the actual upload connection, lower resolution or bitrate, and run another test using representative video and audio. Use YouTube’s CBR and 2-second keyframe recommendations. |
| The stream stops before the full day is over. | The broadcast reached a duration boundary, the encoder or connection stopped, or no restart/handoff was configured. | Do not rely on a single YouTube broadcast to run indefinitely. Test the planned rotation or restart, and check the behavior of the chosen encoder or service after a disconnect. |
| Viewers report silence, an unexpected gap, or an out-of-order topic. | The playlist order, file audio, or transitions were not checked in a full run-through. | Preview each file and its transition, verify the playlist order, and include a clear slate during planned breaks. |
| A class or embedded asset triggers a rights complaint or policy action. | The recording or an included third-party asset may not be cleared for streaming, or the content may violate platform rules. | Review the affected material and permission records, remove or replace material you are not authorized to use, and follow YouTube’s applicable notices and appeal process where appropriate. |
Estimate the costs before choosing a setup
A local encoder avoids a hosted-service subscription but still depends on a computer, electricity, internet service, and someone able to respond when the stream fails. A hardware encoder adds equipment and configuration costs. Scheduled broadcast tools and cloud services may have plan limits or other charges, which should be checked against the provider’s current terms and India availability. For a cloud-versus-local estimate, use the cloud vs PC cost calculator. For StreamNeo’s available durations and current plan details, see StreamNeo pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make a recorded class a scheduled YouTube livestream without looping it?
Yes. You can schedule a finite prerecorded broadcast; it starts at its selected time and ends when the uploaded video finishes. That is different from keeping a playlist in continuous rotation.
