To stream prerecorded videos on YouTube around the clock without leaving a computer running, use a cloud service that uploads or stores your videos, connects to your YouTube channel, and sends them as a continuous YouTube Live broadcast. The practical sequence is: make sure the channel can livestream, choose a provider whose limits fit your schedule, add the videos and stream details, then monitor the live output.

For a cloud-first option, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist streaming to YouTube from the cloud. If you are comparing services, it is the first option to consider for always-on streaming: it handles the stream in the cloud, accepts uploads up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Before you start: check YouTube eligibility and content

  • Your channel must be verified and must not have had a livestreaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time livestream activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and encoder setup guide.
  • YouTube’s general guidance says streamers must be at least 16 years old.
  • All livestream content must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Prerecorded content is subject to the same rules: you are responsible for the rights to the audio and video, policy compliance, and accurately representing what viewers are watching.

Resolve eligibility issues and enable livestreaming before scheduling a long broadcast; otherwise, a correctly configured cloud service may still be unable to start it.

Choose a cloud service that fits the stream

YouTube’s encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous prerecorded-video streaming and Upstream as a cloud studio for 24/7 live streaming. OneStream Live documents a scheduled 24/7 workflow for YouTube. These are provider descriptions, not independent tests of uptime or performance.

Current pricing, duration and file/storage limits, support, monitoring, and how interruptions are handled.
Upstream YouTube describes a cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming with YouTube integration. A creator who prefers browser-based setup for continuous streaming. Whether current plans support the desired prerecorded playlist workflow, plus current cost, duration limits, and monitoring.
OneStream Live Its help documentation describes scheduling prerecorded videos 24/7 to YouTube. The 24/7 feature requires Enterprise and each schedule can run for up to 30 days. A creator who wants to select files from a device or connected cloud storage and schedule a bounded run. Current Enterprise pricing, what happens at the 30-day limit, storage limits, and interruption handling.

Compare the options on schedule length, video sourcing and formats, resolution, playlist controls, monitoring and recovery, archive plans, support, and total cost. The available descriptions do not establish comparative uptime, so they are not a basis for ranking services by reliability.

Set up a prerecorded 24/7 YouTube stream

  1. Enable livestreaming on the channel. In YouTube, complete channel verification and livestream activation. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement, and check that there is no restriction in the preceding 90 days.
  2. Select a provider and confirm its current limits. Choose a service that explicitly supports YouTube and continuous or 24/7 output. Check schedule duration, accepted file formats and resolutions, storage, playlist behavior, and monitoring or recovery before uploading or paying.
  3. Upload or select the prerecorded videos. Add the files to the service or select them from an available storage source. Arrange the sequence or playlist and check that the content is authorized and appropriate for YouTube.
  4. Connect the YouTube channel and configure the broadcast. Follow the provider’s connection flow. For an encoder-based workflow, create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, then enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Treat the stream key like a password; use the provider’s secure connection flow and do not share it publicly.
  5. Set the stream information and start time. Add a clear title and description, select the intended channel, and schedule or start the broadcast according to the service’s controls. Confirm the provider’s duration cap; for OneStream Live’s documented 24/7 feature, the help page specifies Enterprise and a maximum of 30 days per schedule.
  6. Verify the live output. Open the YouTube watch page and check that video is moving, audio is audible, the right playlist is playing, and the broadcast is on the intended channel. Arrange a way to notice interruptions, frozen or silent output, and connection or credential failures. YouTube’s live-stream tips recommend monitoring audio and video quality during an event.

Plan for interruptions and the YouTube archive limit

YouTube’s API documentation describes a 24/7 feed as an ongoing broadcast and gives an example of maintaining that broadcast while creating a separate concurrent broadcast. This establishes continuous broadcasting as a supported API use case; it does not guarantee that a third-party service will remain connected without interruption. Choose a provider with recovery controls if minimizing manual restarts matters, and monitor the stream rather than assuming a successful start means it will run indefinitely.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that one stream running longer than 12 hours will be saved as a complete replay. If you need an archive, plan for provider-side or local recording, shorter broadcast segments, or another archive workflow, and verify how it works with your current setup.
