Short answer: Larix Broadcaster can send a live encoder feed to YouTube, but Softvelum’s official materials describe it as a mobile live video and audio capture app; they do not confirm that it can select a prerecorded video file and play it directly as the broadcast source. So you can set up YouTube and Larix, but verify file playback on your exact phone, operating system, and app version before relying on it. If you need a dependable 24/7 YouTube loop of uploaded bhajans, a cloud playout service is a separate option.
What Larix Broadcaster can—and cannot be confirmed to do
Larix Broadcaster supports mobile RTMP/RTMPS publishing, and YouTube accepts an encoder feed sent to its server URL with a stream key. However, Softvelum describes Larix Broadcaster as an app for streaming live video and audio from a smartphone or tablet. The official materials reviewed do not establish a direct workflow for choosing a stored bhajan video file and using it as the broadcast source. Softvelum’s Larix Broadcaster page and its setup documentation do not, on their own, verify prerecorded-file playout.
That distinction matters: connecting Larix to YouTube is not the same as playing a stored file through Larix. Do not plan an event around direct file playback until you have confirmed it works with the current app build and your device.

- Check whether your installed Larix Broadcaster version offers a supported way to select and play a local video file as its publishing input.
- If you try screen capture instead, confirm that both the video image and its sound reach YouTube. Mobile operating systems may restrict capturing audio from other apps.
- If the app cannot provide the required file input, use a separately verified encoder or playout workflow rather than assuming a camera-capture app can play files.
Prepare your YouTube channel and stream
Check live-stream eligibility early
Your channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, according to YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance (accessed 2026). First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming well before the bhajan broadcast.

Create the encoder stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create or schedule a stream.
- In Live Control Room, open Stream settings and copy the current server URL and stream key shown for that stream. Use the values Studio displays; do not rely on an old URL copied from another guide. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain that these are the details the encoder needs to send the feed.
- Prefer RTMPS when available. YouTube says RTMPS is a secure extension of RTMP; use the lock icon in Stream settings to reveal the RTMPS URL, then copy that URL and the stream key. See YouTube’s RTMPS instructions.
Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Keep it private, and do not show it in a screenshot or recording.
Configure Larix Broadcaster to send the feed
- Open Larix Broadcaster and add a publishing connection using the server URL and stream key from the matching YouTube Live Control Room stream. Follow Larix’s current connection setup documentation for the app version you have installed.
- Use the RTMPS endpoint where supported, and configure the connection for video and audio. Larix’s YouTube setup guidance uses video-and-audio mode; YouTube does not accept video-only or audio-only in that setup.
- Before scheduling a public broadcast, resolve the input source. If Larix offers no verified direct file-playback option on your device, do not assume the connection settings will make a prerecorded file play. A screen-capture approach is distinct and requires an audio test.
- Start the encoder and wait for YouTube’s Live Control Room preview. Confirm that the intended bhajan appears and that its audio is audible before going live.
Use settings your encoder and connection can sustain
YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 video; frame rates up to 60 fps; constant bitrate (CBR) encoding; AAC or MP3 audio; and a recommended two-second keyframe interval, with four seconds as the maximum. These are platform ingest options, not a guarantee that a particular phone, Larix version, or network can produce them reliably. For the prerecorded-video question, the most important settings are not just resolution or bitrate. Verify the input source, sound capture, app and operating-system support, secure transport, YouTube preview, and your ability to monitor and stop the stream.

Rehearse, go live, and end the stream cleanly
- Schedule or create a private or unlisted rehearsal stream, then start the encoder.
- Check YouTube’s preview for the correct video and listen for clear, continuous audio. Test the watch page on a second device, including a phone, and keep monitoring after the stream begins.
- When the preview is correct, click Go live in Live Control Room if the stream is scheduled. YouTube recommends testing and previewing before going live and monitoring audio and video during the broadcast; see its live streaming tips.
- When finished, stop the encoder and end the stream in YouTube. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; longer streams should not be relied on to archive automatically. See YouTube’s encoder streaming guidance.
Check rights before broadcasting bhajans
Use a video and recording you own or are authorized to broadcast. Check rights for both the musical composition and the particular sound recording: permission for one does not necessarily cover the other. YouTube requires live streams to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; see YouTube’s live-stream policy guidance. A devotional or traditional subject does not by itself establish that a specific recording is free to stream.
