To stream a pre-recorded Indian wedding video on YouTube Live, send it to YouTube as an encoder feed: create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, enter its stream URL and key in an encoder that can play or route a video file, test the feed, then go live. For 4K at 60 fps, YouTube’s current English encoder-settings guidance recommends 35 Mbps for H.264. First clear the video’s music and other third-party material for the intended use; a private or unlisted stream is not a substitute for permission.
Before you set up the stream
Check channel eligibility
Your channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Enable live streaming early: YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Inspect the actual wedding file
Check the file’s resolution, frame rate, video codec, audio tracks, and duration before choosing output settings. An export labeled “4K” or “60 fps” is not proof that its contents have those properties. The encoder and playback setup must also be able to sustain the selected output; YouTube’s general encoder guidance does not establish a universal computer specification for playing and streaming a particular 4K60 file.

Decide whether this is one event or a recurring broadcast
A local encoder gives you manual control for a one-time event, but the computer and network must stay available while it sends the stream. For a recurring or continuous prerecorded-video broadcast, YouTube’s encoder guide lists Gyre as a cloud service supporting prerecorded streams at 4K/30 or 60 fps. That is a capability stated in YouTube’s listing, not an independent test or endorsement. StreamNeo is another cloud option specifically for keeping an uploaded-video YouTube channel live: it runs continuously from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Clear music and footage rights before streaming
Wedding edits can contain commercial songs, music picked up at the venue, or footage belonging to someone else. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the live picture, interrupt the stream, or lead to termination; a stream can also receive a copyright strike. YouTube’s terms put responsibility on the creator to have the necessary rights, including music rights. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and its Terms of Service.
If a rights holder has licensed material for your stream, YouTube advises asking the owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent an interruption when the channel is not allowlisted. Clear the recording, soundtrack, and any third-party footage for the relevant territory and use; for legal advice, consult a qualified professional in the applicable jurisdiction.

Set up a pre-recorded video as a YouTube Live feed
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create a live stream, or schedule it if you want a watch page available in advance. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup guide.
- Copy the ingest details. Copy the stream URL and stream key from the Live Control Room into the encoder’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: it authorizes an encoder to send a feed to your stream. Do not share it publicly.
- Load or route the file using the encoder’s supported workflow. Choose an encoder that can play a local video file or accept it through a supported playback or routing workflow. YouTube’s general instructions explain where to use the stream URL and key, but do not specify file-loading controls for every encoder. Check the current documentation for your chosen program rather than assuming all encoders work alike.
- Choose a sustainable output. If the source and the playback/encoding setup can sustain it, set output to 3840 × 2160 at 60 fps. YouTube supports H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 encoder input. For RTMP/RTMPS, use constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Check YouTube’s live encoder settings for the latest codec-specific requirements.
- Set bitrate for the codec. YouTube’s English live-settings page, accessed in 2026, recommends 35 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 60 fps using H.264. Its cited settings result gives AV1/H.265 a 10–40 Mbps range. These are encoder video-bitrate figures, not a promise of uninterrupted delivery or a complete internet-capacity target; verify current values in YouTube’s settings before the event.
- Test the complete path. Run a private or unlisted test using the same file segment, audio, motion, encoder, computer, and network planned for the event. Check the picture, sound, output frame rate, and Live Control Room preview, then review stream-health warnings. YouTube recommends testing with similar movement and audio.
- Leave bandwidth headroom. YouTube recommends 20% upload-bandwidth headroom beyond the total stream bitrate. Shared networks can limit one stream even when the connection’s headline speed looks sufficient. A stable wired connection can help where available, but YouTube’s cited guidance is about capacity and reliability, not a wired-connection requirement. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
- Start early and monitor. Start the encoder ahead of the event, confirm the incoming feed in the preview, and monitor picture and sound while live. Keep a local recording as a backup. YouTube says eligible streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but recommends recording locally too; see Archive live streams.
Choose between a local encoder and a cloud loop
For a single wedding broadcast, a local encoder is a practical choice if you can test the exact file and keep the computer and connection running. For repeated streams or a loop that should continue without a home computer, a cloud service removes that local operating burden. YouTube’s guide lists Gyre for continuous prerecorded-video streaming, including 4K/30 and 60 fps; its price and other terms are not established here. StreamNeo is #1 among the options described here for a YouTube-only cloud loop: it keeps uploaded video running from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with a free first day.

Troubleshoot common problems
- The Live Control Room shows no incoming video: Check that the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL and that the stream key matches the selected YouTube stream. Confirm the encoder is actually playing or routing the file, not merely configured with ingest details.
- The stream buffers or reports poor health: The outgoing bitrate may be too close to available upload capacity, or other devices may be using the shared connection. Lower the output bitrate or resolution, reduce competing uploads, and test again with YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
- The output is not 4K60: Verify the source file’s true resolution and frame rate, then check the encoder’s output settings and whether the playback/encoding setup sustains them. A 4K60 label on an export does not ensure a 4K60 feed.
- The image or sound is interrupted after a copyright match: Stop and resolve the rights issue. If a third-party owner authorized the material, ask whether they can add your channel to their Content ID allowlist; do not assume a private stream avoids enforcement.
- The planned stream cannot be activated: Check channel verification and live-stream eligibility, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- The stream ends or its archive is incomplete: YouTube’s automatic archive applies to eligible streams under 12 hours. For a longer broadcast, or whenever the recording matters, preserve a local recording rather than relying only on the YouTube archive.
Costs and planning tools
A local workflow has no single universal equipment cost established here: YouTube’s published guidance does not specify the minimum computer needed for a particular 4K60 file and encoder. Test your existing setup before buying hardware. StreamNeo has the same features on every plan; only the billing period changes. Prices shown below are displayed in the visitor’s local pricing view.
- Daily: $0.99 per day
- Weekly: $2.99 per week
- Monthly: $9.99 per month
- 6 months: $49.99 for 6 months
