To run Odia Jagannath bhajans continuously on YouTube, first clear the rights to both each recording and its underlying composition, enable live streaming on your channel, then create and test the broadcast before making it public. YouTube’s live copyright matching can interrupt a stream—even when you have a license—if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Continuous streaming also needs a plan for monitoring and recovery; YouTube’s setup guidance does not guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 uptime.

1. Clear rights to the bhajans before you stream

Make sure you have permission for both parts of every track:

  • The sound recording: the particular performance or recorded file you will play.
  • The composition: the underlying music and lyrics.

Having permission to use a recording does not necessarily prevent YouTube’s Content ID system from matching it during a live broadcast. If a label, distributor, or other rights holder controls the material, contact them before launch. Confirm that the permission covers a YouTube livestream and ask whether they need to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist. YouTube may interrupt a live broadcast when it detects third-party content; a license alone may not prevent that interruption.

Keep a record of permissions and any allowlisting confirmation for the channel that will host the stream. Do not assume that a devotional song is free to use simply because it is traditional, widely shared, or available online: the particular recording may have a separate rights holder.

2. Enable live streaming and choose how to send the feed

For first-time live access, verify your account and enable livestreaming at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast, as YouTube for Artists advises. Do this early enough to discover any access issue before launch.

Set up the broadcast in YouTube Studio. A mobile or webcam stream may suit a simple live appearance; an encoder-based workflow gives you more control over a prepared video feed. YouTube’s official guidance does not require a particular computer or encoder model. For a continuous recording-based broadcast, choose a setup you can operate and monitor for the full planned run rather than assuming a specific device can run indefinitely.

3. Create and test the broadcast before going public

  1. Open YouTube Studio’s live workflow. Create the broadcast and select an encoder if you need more customization and control over the feed.
  2. Connect your encoder. Use the stream key provided in YouTube’s live workflow in the encoder you selected. Treat the key as private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your broadcast.
  3. Run a private test. Set the stream visibility to unlisted while testing. Send the complete feed you intend to use, including the bhajan audio, and check the live control room for warnings or interruptions.
  4. Confirm YouTube is receiving the feed. Check the stream status and verify that the audio and picture arrive as expected before scheduling or switching to a public broadcast.
  5. Launch only after the test passes. Recheck that the rights and Content ID arrangements apply to this channel and to the recordings in the feed.

Testing the full setup privately is especially important before a high-investment or high-production broadcast. An unlisted test can reveal connection or feed problems, but it does not prove that every track is cleared or that a later public stream will remain uninterrupted.

4. Plan for round-the-clock operation

A 24/7 broadcast is an operational commitment, not just a YouTube setting. The available YouTube guidance explains encoder-based delivery and checking stream status; it does not establish a complete redundancy design, a guaranteed recovery method, or a promise that a 24-hour broadcast will be archived in full.

  • Assign someone to check the live control room and respond to warnings or interruptions.
  • Decide how you will verify power, internet access, and encoder operation for the entire run.
  • Work out how an authorized operator will restart or reconnect the feed if it stops.
  • Keep rights documentation and the rights holder’s Content ID allowlisting confirmation accessible to whoever monitors the channel.
  • Do not advertise uninterrupted uptime or a complete 24-hour archive as guaranteed.

5. Common problems and what to check

YouTube interrupts the stream after a music match

Check which recording triggered the match, then contact the relevant rights holder. Confirm that your permission covers the livestream and ask whether the channel needs Content ID allowlisting. A license by itself may not stop a live interruption.

The channel cannot go live yet

For first-time access, verify the account and enable live streaming ahead of time. YouTube for Artists says to allow at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast.

The live control room does not show an active feed

Check that the encoder is sending data to the correct broadcast using the stream key from YouTube Studio. Confirm the encoder is running and review the live control room for status messages before making the stream public.

The stream stops during the 24/7 run

Check the encoder, power, internet connection, and YouTube stream status, then follow the restart or reconnect plan assigned to your operator. The official guidance cited here does not promise automatic recovery or continuous uptime.
