To stream morning aarti and bhajans on YouTube as a live broadcast, send a rights-cleared audio-and-video feed through YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room using an encoder. You can run the encoder on a computer or use a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Check channel eligibility, test the audio and connection, and plan the broadcast length: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but does not promise automatic archiving for longer streams.

Before you stream: confirm eligibility and music rights

Check that your channel can go live

YouTube’s stated requirements include a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming before the morning you plan to broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips and starting requirements for live streaming for current eligibility details.

Clear the exact recordings you plan to use

A devotional subject, traditional melody, or old song does not automatically make a particular recording free to stream. Rights can apply separately to the composition, arrangement, performance, recording, and publishing. You are responsible for having the rights needed for the intended YouTube livestream and any replay. Permission should cover your planned territories and archive use.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a warning, placeholder, interruption, or termination. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID to prevent a live interruption. Review YouTube’s terms and copyright guidance for live streams; ask the rights owner about allowlisting when relevant.

Choose a way to keep the broadcast running

Use an encoder on your computer

YouTube supports software encoders as well as standalone hardware encoders. A software encoder is a practical starting point for a prepared feed; hardware is optional and makes more sense for a dedicated setup using external audio or video equipment. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance describes both options. No particular hardware model is necessary for a simple stream.

With a computer-based setup, the encoder and internet connection must remain available for the broadcast. Choose an output your connection can sustain, test before going live, and monitor stream health. The steps below cover this do-it-yourself route.

Set up a YouTube live encoder feed

  1. Enable live streaming ahead of time. In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and complete any required verification or activation. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours; confirm access before your planned broadcast.
  2. Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio → Go Live, choose the encoder workflow, then enter the stream details and visibility you want. YouTube also offers mobile and webcam paths, but the encoder workflow fits a prepared continuous audio/video feed.
  3. Copy the stream URL and key into the encoder. YouTube provides these in the Live Control Room. Enter the server URL and stream key in the corresponding encoder fields. Treat the key like a password: it tells the encoder where to send the feed and lets YouTube accept it. Do not share it publicly.
  4. Prepare the audio and picture. Use recordings cleared for livestreaming and a suitable still image, visual loop, or camera scene. Keep the audio audible and free of clipping; check that the intended picture is present rather than an accidental blank or unrelated scene.
  5. Set encoder output for a stable connection. YouTube’s RTMP/RTMPS guidance includes H.264 video, AAC or MP3 audio, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval. These are platform recommendations, not a profile guaranteed to work on every network. Choose a resolution and bitrate your upload connection can sustain; do not pursue high resolution at the expense of a stable feed. See YouTube’s encoder settings.
  6. Test, preview, and start. Send a test with audio and movement like the planned program. Check the Live Control Room preview and stream health before publishing. Once the preview is right, start the broadcast from the encoder or the Live Control Room as prompted.
  7. Monitor the live feed. Keep an eye on stream health and the internet connection while the broadcast is running. YouTube recommends checking that the stream is accessible on the watch page and on mobile devices; its streaming tips recommend leaving 20% upload-bandwidth room.

Plan the ending and replay separately

A live broadcast and its archive are different outcomes. YouTube states that all streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived. Do not assume a longer all-day stream will be archived automatically. If you need a replay, plan the broadcast duration accordingly and verify the current archive controls in YouTube Studio. The archive statement is in YouTube’s encoder workflow guidance.

SABRENT USB External Stereo Sound Card Adapter, Plug & Play (AU-MMSA)
  • PLUG IN AND HEAR SOUND IN SECONDS - USB Type-A connector with a 3.5mm stereo headphone output and a separate 3.5mm mono microphone input. No drivers, no software, no external power - the adapter is USB bus-powered and is recognized as a standard USB audio device.
  • WORKS ON WINDOWS, MAC AND LINUX - Driverless on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8, Linux and Mac OSX, and compliant with the USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification, so any system that supports class-compliant USB audio will see it. Select it as the sound output and input device after plugging it in.
  • TWO JACKS, TWO JOBS - The green jack is stereo OUT for headphones or powered speakers; the pink jack is mono microphone IN for a 3.5mm mic. It does NOT support 4-pole headsets on a single combo plug, it does NOT power passive speakers, and it does NOT add surround sound - it is a stereo 2-channel adapter.
  • FOR LAPTOPS AND DESKTOPS THAT NEED AN AUDIO PORT BACK - Adds a headphone and mic port to a laptop, desktop, or mini PC whose onboard jack has failed or was never there. Managed and work-issued computers can block new USB audio devices by policy - check with your IT department before ordering for a company machine.
  • SABRENT SUPPORT AND WARRANTY - What is in the box: one USB audio sound adapter. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, extended to 2 years when you register within 90 days on the manufacturer's website.

For a program that must run longer than 12 hours, consider whether a shorter broadcast with a planned restart better fits your replay needs. A restart is a new live session; schedule and test it rather than relying on a long session to create an archive.

Troubleshooting common problems

  • Go Live is unavailable: Check channel verification and whether live-stream restrictions occurred in the past 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
  • The encoder does not connect: Recheck that the stream URL and key were copied into the correct fields. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
  • The preview is blank or audio is missing: Confirm the encoder is sending the intended video and audio inputs, then run a test and inspect the Live Control Room preview before publishing.
  • The stream health is poor or the feed buffers: Reduce output demands to what the upload connection can sustain, check the connection, and retain YouTube’s recommended 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. Re-test before restarting.
  • YouTube interrupts the devotional audio: Treat this as a possible third-party content match. Confirm rights for the exact recording and livestream use; ask the rights owner whether channel allowlisting through Content ID is needed. A license alone may not prevent an interruption.
  • No archive appears after a very long stream: Check the actual broadcast duration and current Studio archive status. YouTube’s automatic-archive statement covers streams under 12 hours, not longer ones.
