To stream a game from your phone through a PC, send the phone’s screen to desktop streaming software using a mirroring or LAN connection, or connect a compatible video output to a capture card. You can also stream directly from a phone or run the game in an Android emulator on the PC—but an emulator shows the PC version of the game, not gameplay from your handset.
Choose the route that matches your setup
| Route | Where the game runs | Extra hardware | PC scenes and overlays | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct broadcast from phone | Physical phone | No PC required | Limited; Twitch says its mobile game mode does not support overlays | A straightforward broadcast when PC-based scene controls are unnecessary |
| Screen mirroring or LAN feed | Physical phone | May use a cable or network connection, depending on the method | Use desktop streaming software to build the scene | Keeping the real phone gameplay while using a PC production setup |
| Capture card | Physical phone | Compatible phone video output, appropriate adapters, and capture hardware | Feed the captured video into desktop streaming software | A supported external-video workflow |
| Android emulator | PC | No phone capture hardware | Use desktop streaming software with the game running on the PC | Streaming a game that you are willing and able to run in an emulator |
No cited source provides a controlled comparison of latency or picture quality among these approaches. Choose according to whether the game must run on your actual phone, your desired scene controls, available connections, audio needs, and device compatibility. Twitch’s mobile game guidance, Streamlabs’ Android LAN guide, Streamlabs’ PC guide, and Elgato’s iPhone guide describe these respective options.
Stream directly from your phone
For the simplest setup, Twitch documents game broadcasting from its Android and iOS app. It avoids routing the screen through a PC, but gives you fewer production controls than a desktop scene.
- Install and sign in to the Twitch app, then open its mobile game-broadcasting flow.
- Grant the requested microphone permission if you want to include your voice, and review the app’s audio-capture guidance.
- Use Wi-Fi, as Twitch recommends, to improve performance and reduce potential mobile-data charges.
- Silence notifications or enable an appropriate Focus or Do Not Disturb mode. Everything visible on the phone screen may be broadcast.
- Keep the phone awake while live: Twitch says a direct mobile stream ends if the device locks.
- Check the game feed, microphone, and captured audio before starting the broadcast.
Twitch says its mobile game mode does not support overlays and cannot broadcast the game screen and a front- or rear-facing camera at the same time. If those controls matter, use a PC-based route instead. See Twitch’s mobile game broadcasting guidance.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Send physical-phone gameplay to PC software
Mirroring or sending a LAN feed preserves gameplay from the actual handset while letting desktop streaming software handle the broadcast scene. The connection and setup depend on the phone and chosen tool; test the entire path rather than assuming that every method carries game audio in the same way.
Android over a LAN source
Streamlabs documents an Android LAN source that sends gameplay to desktop software. Follow the current Streamlabs Mobile LAN Streaming Source Guide to configure the source on the phone and computer, then add the received feed to your scene. Keep both devices on the network required by the guide, and verify that the computer receives a stable image before going live.
Phone mirroring with a cable or other PC tool
Twitch describes PC-based tools as an option for people with a computer, a mobile cable, and a way to mirror the screen on the computer. The particular mirroring app, connection, audio path, and device support vary. Configure the mirror first, add its window or feed to your desktop scene, and check whether game audio and microphone audio reach the software as intended. Twitch outlines the PC-tool approach.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Build and test the desktop scene
- Open your desktop streaming software and create a scene for the mobile feed.
- Add the mirrored or LAN video source, size and position it, and confirm that gameplay is visible without unwanted phone interface elements.
- Configure microphone and game audio separately if needed. Listen to a short test recording or preview; do not assume the video connection also carries internal game audio.
- Check for dropped frames, interruptions, or a frozen feed before starting a public stream.
The cited setup pages do not provide a complete current compatibility matrix for every phone, operating-system version, game, cable, or mirroring tool. Confirm support for your exact combination and test it before relying on it live.

For an iPhone, Elgato describes both QuickTime over USB and a capture-card workflow. Its guide calls QuickTime over USB the more practical option for gameplay; a capture card is optional, not a universal requirement. Follow the relevant procedure in Elgato’s iPhone gameplay guide.
Try the USB-to-QuickTime route
Connect the iPhone to the Mac by USB, open QuickTime Player, and use its movie-recording view to select the iPhone as the video source. Bring that view into your streaming software as a window or capture source, then test video and audio. Confirm the current operating-system and device behavior with the guide; the cited source does not establish that every computer or iPhone combination behaves identically.

Use a capture card when the video path supports it
A capture card can bring an external video signal into the computer, but the phone must be able to output compatible video and the adapters must match the phone’s port and the capture device’s input. Before buying, confirm all of the following for the exact setup:
- Whether the phone model supports video output through its port or adapter.
- Which cable or adapter is needed and whether it carries video.
- Whether the capture card accepts that signal and connects to your computer.
- How game audio and microphone audio will enter the streaming software.
Do not treat a capture card as a guaranteed fix for a phone that cannot output video. Compatibility is model- and adapter-specific; validate the full signal chain before purchase.
Stream an Android game running in an emulator
If the game can run in an Android emulator and does not need to be played on your physical phone, run it on the PC and capture the emulator window in desktop streaming software. Streamlabs documents a BlueStacks and Streamlabs Desktop workflow; its guide says this avoids using a phone and extra hardware. Follow the steps and any current compatibility notes in Streamlabs’ guide to streaming mobile games on PC.

- Install and configure BlueStacks according to its current instructions.
- Install the game in the emulator and test that it launches and responds as expected.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop, add the emulator window as a source, and arrange the scene.
- Check game sound, microphone levels, and controls in a test before going live.
This route streams the game running on the PC, not a feed from the physical handset. It is unsuitable when the game session, account, controls, or required features must remain on the phone.
Check audio, privacy, and reliability before going live
- Audio: Test game sound and microphone separately. The documented routes do not establish that every mirroring or capture method passes internal audio identically.
- Screen privacy: Hide notifications and avoid opening private apps during a phone broadcast; Twitch warns that anything displayed may be streamed.
- Power and screen lock: Direct Twitch mobile broadcasts end when the device locks, so keep it awake and adequately powered.
- Connection: Twitch recommends Wi-Fi for direct mobile broadcasting. For a LAN feed, check the network behavior described in the relevant tool’s guide.
- Compatibility: Test the exact phone, operating-system version, game, app, cable, and adapter. A setup that works for one model may not work for another.
- Privacy and permissions: Review microphone and screen-capture permissions before the broadcast, and check which content the selected source can see.
Troubleshoot common problems
The PC does not show the phone screen
- Confirm that the mirroring app or LAN source is running on both required devices and that you followed the tool’s connection steps.
- For a cable or capture-card route, reseat the connections and verify the phone’s video output, adapter, capture input, and computer connection as a complete chain.
- Try a short preview before going live; the cited guides do not guarantee compatibility across every device and software version.
The picture appears, but game audio is missing
- Check the selected audio source and its mute state in desktop software.
- Verify whether the chosen mirroring or capture method carries internal audio; add or configure an audio path if the method requires it.
- Test microphone capture separately so that voice audio does not mask missing game sound.
The phone stream stops unexpectedly
- For Twitch’s direct mobile broadcast, keep the screen awake: Twitch says locking the device ends the stream.
- For mirrored or LAN workflows, inspect the phone-to-PC connection and the network or cable required by the specific tool.
- Repeat the test with notifications silenced and unnecessary apps closed.
The stream shows a notification or private screen
Turn on Focus or Do Not Disturb before broadcasting, and check the phone display before opening another app. A screen-sharing route can expose what appears on the handset.
The capture card has no signal
Check whether the exact phone supports video output, whether the adapter is appropriate, and whether the card accepts that input. A capture card cannot substitute for a compatible phone video-output path.

The emulator game will not run as expected
Confirm that the game works in the chosen emulator and that the emulator window is the source selected in the scene. If the game requires the physical phone, switch to a phone-feed route instead.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is keeping uploaded gameplay videos live on a YouTube channel around the clock—not broadcasting a live camera or a real-time phone session—StreamNeo is a separate cloud option. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It streams to YouTube only and does not broadcast gameplay live from a phone camera. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.
Copyright and game-content checks
Before streaming, check the game publisher’s rules and the platform’s current copyright and live-stream policies, especially for licensed music, cutscenes, and other third-party material. This research does not establish the rights for any particular game or soundtrack, so do not assume that owning a game grants permission to broadcast all of its content.
How to choose
- Choose direct phone broadcasting if a simple mobile workflow is enough and you can work within its screen, overlay, camera, and lock-screen limitations.
- Choose mirroring or a LAN source when the game must run on your real phone but you want PC scene controls.
- Choose a capture card only after confirming that the phone can output compatible video and the adapters fit your exact devices.
- Choose an emulator only when running the game on the PC is acceptable.
OBS Studio itself is not offered as a mobile app in the OBS Project’s Mobile Streaming Apps page, dated 2023-12-10; it lists third-party mobile streaming apps, whose availability and features differ by platform and app. Streamlabs’ PC guide was published 2025-08-14 and updated 2025-09-05.
