You can run a continuous YouTube feed of Marathi children’s stories from a home PC by preparing a video source, configuring an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, and keeping the PC, encoder, internet connection, and power running. First confirm that your channel is eligible, set the audience accurately, and clear the rights to every part of the program. A home-PC setup has no guaranteed uptime: the computer, connection, or power can interrupt it.
Before you start: channel eligibility, audience, and rights
Check that YouTube lets your channel go live
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Its current eligibility guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility page before setup, since platform requirements can change. YouTube lists encoder streaming as an option for computer-based broadcasts.
Decide whether the stream is made for kids
Set the audience based on the actual content and intended audience—not simply because the stories are in Marathi or because children may watch. YouTube provides a self-declared Made for Kids setting. When a channel or live stream is designated Made for Kids, YouTube restricts or turns off features including live chat, chat replay, comments on live-stream archives and upcoming streams, and reminder notifications. Personalized ads are disabled, though contextual ads may still appear. See YouTube’s explanation of Made for Kids features.
Clear rights to every part of the program
Before broadcasting, confirm that you have permission for the story text or adaptation, narration or recording, illustrations or video, and music, as applicable. A story is not automatically free to stream because it is traditional, in Marathi, available online, or already used by another channel. Rights can differ by component, territory, and permitted use; no specific Marathi story or collection is established here as cleared for streaming.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party material. If it detects a match, it may replace the feed with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it if the material remains. If you have licensed the content, YouTube advises asking the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
Prepare the story feed on your PC
Make a playback source
Prepare the story video or a sequence of videos you are authorized to use. Check the complete program—not just a short sample—for working picture, narration, music levels, and the transition or loop point. Decide whether you want one story to repeat or a sequence of stories to play in order. The encoder must be able to keep that source playing while it sends audio and video to YouTube.

The requirements for a stable 24/7 setup depend on your actual computer, encoder, connection, and power supply. The available YouTube guidance does not establish a universal PC specification, bitrate, upload-speed target, backup-power plan, or uninterrupted-operation guarantee, so do not treat a particular hardware or network figure as universally sufficient.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsConfigure the encoder and YouTube event
YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a stream feed and a broadcast event. In YouTube Studio, create or configure the live stream and broadcast, then use the stream key and connection details shown for the stream in your encoder. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your channel. Exact encoder controls vary by software, and the YouTube eligibility guidance does not prescribe a single encoder or universal video settings for prerecorded stories.

Choose the correct privacy setting while preparing the event. If you create broadcasts with YouTube’s Live Streaming API instead, its broadcast insert reference requires a title, scheduled start time, and privacy status; the scheduled start must be in the future and sufficiently close for reliable scheduling. The API also exposes the self-declared Made for Kids setting. See the liveBroadcast insert reference.
Start, test, and keep the stream running
- Verify eligibility and permissions. Confirm channel verification and current live-stream access, decide the audience setting, and clear rights for all story and media components.
- Set up the stream in YouTube Studio. Create or configure the live stream and broadcast, choose the title, privacy, and audience settings, and retrieve the stream key and encoder connection details.
- Load the authorized program into your encoder. Set the playback source to repeat or play the intended sequence, and connect the encoder with the stream details from YouTube Studio.
- Test privately or unlisted before launch. Confirm the picture and narration are present, the sequence behaves as intended at its loop point, and the encoder remains connected. This is a practical check, not a guarantee against later failures.
- Begin the public broadcast and monitor it. Watch YouTube Studio and the encoder for connection problems or copyright notices. If YouTube detects third-party content, follow the notice and resolve the rights or allowlisting issue rather than assuming the feed can continue unaffected.
- Keep the home setup operating. For a PC-based continuous feed, the computer and playback/encoder software, internet connection, and power all need to remain available. Monitor for freezes, disconnections, and power or network interruptions; recovery depends on your setup and the cause.
One continuous event or recurring broadcasts?
Google’s Live Streaming API distinguishes a liveStream, which represents the audio/video feed and its settings, from a liveBroadcast, which represents a scheduled event. Its recurring-event approach can reuse one configured stream and encoder for scheduled broadcasts, but only one broadcast event can be live at a time. Reusing a stream configuration does not make the PC itself uninterrupted or guarantee that any event will stay live. See Google’s broadcast lifecycle guide.

Troubleshooting a home-PC story stream
- You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified, that live streaming is enabled, and that no restriction applies. Review YouTube’s current eligibility page for the 90-day restriction lookback and minimum-age requirement.
- The encoder will not connect: Recheck that you copied the current stream key and connection details from the intended YouTube stream, and that the encoder is using them. Treat the stream key as confidential.
- The picture or narration is missing: Check the selected playback source and its audio/video output in the encoder, then retest privately or unlisted before returning to a public broadcast.
- The story stops or fails to loop: Check the playback order and repeat behavior in your source or encoder. Test the full sequence and its end point rather than assuming the first playback will repeat correctly.
- The feed disconnects or freezes: Check the PC, encoder process, internet connection, and power, then inspect YouTube Studio for the stream state. A home-PC workflow depends on those components remaining available, and no universal setup guarantees uninterrupted service.
- YouTube replaces or interrupts the feed: Check for a copyright notice. Confirm rights to every component and, for licensed content, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting for your channel.
- Expected chat, comments, or notifications are missing: Check the audience designation. Made for Kids streams have feature restrictions, including the live-chat and comment limitations described by YouTube.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want prerecorded Marathi stories to stay live on YouTube without leaving a home PC running, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. You still need the rights to every story and media component, and you still need to set the YouTube audience correctly.
