You can keep mantra meditation music live on YouTube around the clock with a continuous encoder feed or a cloud service—but first confirm that your channel can livestream and that you have the rights to every recording and visual. YouTube scans live broadcasts for copyrighted matches, so a track being available to listen to or having a “royalty-free” label does not by itself establish permission for a continuous livestream.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel verified for livestreaming, with no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before launch day. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and setup instructions.
- Permission for the exact recordings and visuals you plan to broadcast, including any background music, performance, artwork, animation, or spoken introduction.
- A continuous playback source and a way to send it to YouTube: streaming software on a computer, a standalone hardware encoder, or a cloud service.
- A stable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity for your selected resolution and bitrate.
Clear the music and visual rights first
YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions require the provider to hold “all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world,” including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. A purchased track or permission for ordinary personal listening should not be assumed to cover a continuous audiovisual livestream, monetization, or archived playback.
Make a track-by-track rights inventory
- List every mantra performance and recording, background track, loop, visual asset, and spoken segment that will appear.
- Identify the rights holders and check that permission covers livestreaming on YouTube, the relevant territories, repeated or continuous use, monetization if applicable, and playback of archived streams.
- Keep copies of licenses and permission records alongside the asset list. If you license music from a third party, ask the rights holder whether they can add your channel to their Content ID allowlist.
These checks are operational safeguards, not a standard contract template. The rights status of a particular mantra recording depends on the actual recording and permissions; YouTube’s guidance does not determine that status for you.

YouTube Help says that “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If YouTube identifies a match, it may replace your live stream with a placeholder, warn you, and interrupt or terminate the stream if the content remains. A license does not guarantee that an automated match will be cleared immediately; YouTube says the rights holder may need to allowlist your channel. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends. Read Copyright issues with live streams and plan to check notices during and after each broadcast.

Choose how to keep the stream running
Computer running streaming software
Software encoding is supported by YouTube and gives you control over playback, visuals, and stream settings. The computer, encoder software, and network connection must remain available for the stream to continue; plan for power, internet interruptions, monitoring, and restarting after a failure.
Standalone hardware encoder
A dedicated encoder is another supported option. Select one based on YouTube protocol and codec support, the resolution and sustained bitrate you need, and its monitoring and restart capabilities. Hardware is optional; YouTube supports software encoders too.

Cloud operation
A cloud service can keep uploaded video playing without relying on a home computer staying on. StreamNeo is a YouTube-only option: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It is #1 for this cloud approach because it runs continuously from the cloud, accepts uploads up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers the first day free. Compare details at StreamNeo.

- Enable live streaming early. In YouTube Studio, complete channel verification and enable live streaming. Check the channel for restrictions and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Prepare a cleared playback sequence. Use recordings and visuals you have rights to broadcast. A still image or subtle animation can accompany the audio, but it also needs to be original or cleared. Do not assume music from another YouTube channel is available to rebroadcast.
- Create the live broadcast. In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream and obtain its stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send video to your channel.
- Connect the encoder. Enter the Live Control Room’s stream URL and key in your streaming software or hardware encoder. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS and the H.264, H.265, and AV1 codecs; check its current encoder settings guidance for recommended settings.
- Choose settings your connection can sustain. Select a resolution, frame rate, and bitrate that fit your available upload bandwidth. Do not pick the maximum simply because it is offered: a stable feed at a lower setting is preferable to one that repeatedly loses connection. Use YouTube’s current bitrate guidance for your chosen resolution and frame rate rather than relying on a generic setting.
- Test a representative segment. Before the full run, send a test using the actual audio, visuals, encoder, and network. Check stream health in the Live Control Room and listen for silence, clipping, or playback gaps.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Watch connection health and copyright notices during the stream. Keep the source files available so you can restart or rebuild the feed if playback or transmission fails.
Plan broadcast length and archives
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not count on a complete automatically archived video for a broadcast longer than 12 hours. If a full archive matters, schedule shorter broadcast segments and keep a local recording or source copy; after each segment, confirm that the archive processed and check for claims. YouTube’s API documentation also describes keeping a 24/7 broadcast live while using separate broadcast resources for other events, which may suit a channel that needs both a continuous feed and occasional standalone broadcasts. See YouTube’s continuous broadcast guide.

Troubleshooting a 24/7 stream
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification, live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days, and whether first-time activation is still pending. Activation can take up to 24 hours.
- The picture or audio keeps disconnecting: Check stream health and sustained upload capacity. Lower the resolution or bitrate to a setting the connection can reliably maintain, then retest.
- YouTube warns about copyrighted content or replaces the feed: Identify the matched asset and stop using it until you have confirmed the necessary rights. If you do have permission, contact the rights holder about allowlisting your channel; keep the license record available.
- The archive is incomplete or missing: Confirm whether the stream lasted 12 hours or longer. For future runs where a complete archive matters, split the broadcast into shorter segments and preserve a local copy.
- The stream stops when the computer or connection fails: A computer-based setup depends on that equipment and network remaining available. Review your restart and monitoring plan, or use a cloud approach that does not depend on a home computer staying on.
