To broadcast a playlist of Hindi videos as a YouTube Live stream, use OBS Studio on Windows with its VLC Video source, add local video files in playback order, enable Loop Playlist, then connect OBS to a stream created in YouTube Studio. Your PC, power and internet connection must remain available while this local setup is live. If you only want to repeat videos for viewing on your own PC, use YouTube’s playlist Loop control instead; that does not create a live broadcast.
Choose between repeat playback and a live broadcast
A YouTube playlist can mean two different things here:
- Repeat playback on your PC: YouTube plays the playlist again after it ends. No encoder or live broadcast is involved.
- Broadcast prerecorded videos: OBS sends local video files to a YouTube Live stream. Viewers watch a live broadcast, and the PC running OBS must remain on and connected.
The steps below explain both. The broadcast workflow uses local files; pasting an ordinary YouTube playlist URL into OBS does not, by itself, turn that playlist into a live stream.

Option 1: Loop a YouTube playlist for viewing on your PC
- Open a video you want in the playlist. On its watch page, choose More → Save → Create new playlist.
- Enter a name, choose the playlist’s visibility and create it. YouTube says a private playlist is visible only to its owner.
- For each additional video, choose More → Save and select the playlist. Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want.
- Open a video from the playlist, expand the playlist panel on the right and click Loop.
This repeats playback in YouTube; it does not make the videos live for other viewers. The workflow is not specific to Hindi: choose the Hindi videos you want. YouTube notes that a video or channel marked Made for Kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, though it can still be added from search results.

What you need to broadcast a local playlist with OBS
- A YouTube channel enabled for live streaming. YouTube Help says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours. Its encoder guidance also requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Check the channel’s current eligibility in YouTube Studio.
- OBS Studio for Windows. OBS’s download page lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 support; YouTube describes OBS as open-source software available at no charge. Get it from the official OBS download page.
- VLC installed alongside OBS. OBS’s VLC Video source requires VLC. If you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.
- Local video files you can legally stream. Test the files and audio before going live. OBS’s built-in Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG and WAV. For multiple files played in sequence, use VLC Video.
- A continuously available PC and network. OBS must keep sending the stream. A Windows sleep setting, power loss or internet outage can interrupt the local-PC route.
Build and check the looping playlist in OBS
- Open OBS and create a scene for the broadcast.
- In the scene’s Sources area, add a VLC Video source.
- Add your local Hindi video files to its playlist in the order you want them to play.
- Leave Loop Playlist enabled. OBS describes this option as restarting the source after it has run out of media files. Shuffle Playlist is off by default, so the files play in list order unless you change it.
- Preview the scene. Confirm that the video and sound are present, then let the final item finish and check that playback returns to the first item.
The loop setting repeats the media list; it does not make OBS, Windows, the PC or your internet connection stay available. Keep the PC powered, prevent it from sleeping and leave OBS running throughout the broadcast.
Create a YouTube Live stream and connect OBS
- In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- Use the Stream tab to create a stream if this is your first encoder stream.
- In OBS streaming settings, select YouTube if that integration is available. Otherwise, copy the stream URL from YouTube into OBS’s server field and copy the stream key into its key field.
- Start streaming from OBS. Check the preview in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. YouTube says the stream page is created after the encoder starts sending.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password; do not show it in a video, description or screenshot.
YouTube Studio labels and channel eligibility can change. Follow the labels shown in your current Studio account if they differ from these documented paths.

Plan for interruptions and YouTube archives
A 24/7 broadcast from a Windows PC depends on the PC, OBS, power and network staying available. The playlist loop only restarts the media after the list ends; it does not monitor or recover the full local setup after a computer or network outage. Plan to monitor the stream and restore it if an interruption stops the encoder.

It also warns that if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. Do not rely on one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast to produce a complete YouTube archive. If you need an archive, plan shorter broadcasts and check YouTube’s current archive guidance before settling on a schedule.

Clear the rights to every video and soundtrack
Only stream video and audio you own or have permission to use for this purpose. YouTube’s live-stream terms say the content provider represents that it has all necessary rights, including music licensing rights. A video being publicly viewable on YouTube, or being in Hindi, does not give you permission to rebroadcast it.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder; continuing to show it can lead to temporary interruption or termination. Even licensed third-party material may require the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Prefer original videos or licenses that explicitly cover public live streaming and any archive you plan to keep.
