You can stream a Telugu music playlist to YouTube Live around the clock by running FFmpeg on a computer or server that stays powered on and connected. Prepare music you have permission to rebroadcast, create a YouTube live stream, then configure FFmpeg to send a video-and-audio feed to YouTube’s ingest server. This guide shows the workflow, the settings to check, and the limits of a continuous broadcast.
Before you start: confirm music rights
Only use tracks for which you have the rights needed to stream them on YouTube, including any applicable synchronization or public-performance rights. Buying a song, subscribing to a music service, or crediting the artist does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even if a rights holder has licensed the tracks, ask whether your channel must be allowlisted through Content ID for live use. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

YouTube treats the incoming media feed and the watchable live event as separate resources: the stream carries the audio and video, while the broadcast is the event viewers watch. For a basic encoder setup, create or schedule a live event in YouTube Live Control Room, then give FFmpeg the ingest server URL and stream key. YouTube’s API documentation also describes continuous-feed use cases; it does not promise uninterrupted availability for a particular computer, network, or broadcast.

FFmpeg reads local media, forms an audio-video output, and sends that output to YouTube. For a playlist, choose a joining method based on the files’ compatibility rather than assuming every file can be combined with one universal command.
Prepare a playlist from compatible local files
Check the files first
- Keep a local backup of the source tracks and playlist.
- Confirm each file plays through to the end, and listen for unexpected silence, abrupt cuts, or large level differences.
- Compare codecs, sample rates, channel layouts, and containers. These affect whether files can be joined without re-encoding.
These checks help identify problems before you broadcast. They do not guarantee gapless transitions; test the actual files and output.

Choose concat demuxer or concat filter
FFmpeg documents two approaches. Use the concat demuxer when inputs are compatible and joining them without re-encoding is appropriate. Use the concat filter when inputs need to be re-encoded or normalized to a common format. The right choice depends on the media, including codec, sample rate, channel layout, and container compatibility. Consult the FFmpeg FAQ on concatenating media and verify syntax against your installed FFmpeg build. Do not assume an example for one set of files will work unchanged for another.
Create the YouTube live event and protect its key
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or schedule the live stream. Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup prompts.
- Copy the server URL and stream key shown for that stream. Enter them in FFmpeg’s output configuration so it can send media to YouTube’s ingest endpoint.
- Treat the stream key like a password. Do not put it in a public script, screenshot, or repository. If it is exposed, replace or rotate it in Live Control Room before continuing.
- Start with an unlisted or otherwise suitable test event if you need to check the setup without announcing a public broadcast.
The exact controls can change. Refer to YouTube’s current instructions for creating a live stream with an encoder for the server and key handoff.

Configure output and test before going live
Use settings YouTube currently accepts
YouTube recommends RTMPS for the standard encoder workflow. Its current guidance covers H.264, H.265, and AV1 video with RTMP/RTMPS, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate encoding, and frame rates up to 60 fps. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says it should not exceed four seconds. Choose a profile and bitrate from YouTube’s current table for your resolution, codec, and frame rate; the recommended ranges differ by those choices. Do not copy one bitrate value into every setup.
For a playlist with a still image, FFmpeg still needs to send both an audio stream and a video stream if that is what the selected ingest setup expects. If you include motion or visual changes, test those too. The encoder guidance and bitrate table are at YouTube’s live encoder settings page.

Run a representative test
- Check that your upload connection has sufficient capacity for the chosen output, and run a speed test as YouTube recommends.
- Send a test stream using representative audio and the same kind of video output you plan to use live.
- Monitor stream health and any Live Control Room warnings while the test is running. Listen for dropouts and check that the playlist advances as expected.
- Make adjustments, then test again before relying on the setup for a long broadcast.
Keep FFmpeg running—and understand the 24/7 limits
A local FFmpeg setup depends on the process, computer, power, network connection, and YouTube ingest all remaining available. If the computer sleeps, loses power, disconnects, or FFmpeg exits, the feed stops. A restart supervisor or hosted server can help with process recovery or reduce dependence on a home computer, but it still needs to be configured and maintained; neither guarantees uninterrupted broadcasting.

Its cited guidance does not establish that one uninterrupted stream lasting 24 hours or more will be archived in full, or that a continuous broadcast will remain available indefinitely. Troubleshoot common problems
