You can stream an authorized Telugu movie-songs playlist to YouTube Live from a remote server by running an encoder there and sending its feed to YouTube over RTMPS. First clear the rights for every recording and visual, then confirm your channel can livestream, configure the encoder with the current stream URL and key from YouTube Studio, and test the feed in Live Control Room. A public playlist, purchased track, or credit to the owner does not by itself grant live-streaming rights.
Before you stream: clear rights and check channel eligibility
Get permission for every recording and visual
Confirm that you have permission to transmit each recording in a live stream, for the intended territory, and to keep an archived version if you plan to leave the stream replay available. Clear any accompanying video, still image, album art, or other visual separately. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other rights participants: YouTube Livestream terms and conditions.
Buying a track, finding it on a public playlist, or crediting its creators is not a substitute for permission to broadcast it. Keep written documentation of the rights and scope you receive. If a rights holder has licensed the use, ask whether they also need to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist. YouTube says a live stream can still be interrupted for a match when licensed content is not allowlisted: Copyright issues with live streams.

YouTube’s current getting-started guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days; the streamer must be at least 16. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the planned broadcast: Get started with live streaming.

Prepare the remote server and encoder
Choose an encoder that fits the server
YouTube accepts a feed from an encoder, which may be software or standalone hardware. Select one compatible with the server’s operating system and capable of encoding the resolution and frame rate you intend to send. The reviewed official guidance does not establish a minimum server size or recommend a specific provider or encoder, so check the encoder’s requirements and test the actual machine rather than assuming any remote server will work.
If you plan to use OBS on Linux or Unix, OBS lists an OpenGL 3.3-compatible GPU and X Window System or Wayland among its requirements. Its performance also depends on the encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity. A headless server may therefore need a supported display environment or a different encoder; verify the setup before relying on it for an unattended stream. See OBS Linux support.

Make the playlist available to the encoder
Arrange for the encoder to read the authorized audio and visuals as local files or from another source you are licensed to use. Confirm that the files play in the intended order and that the encoder can keep reading them for the duration of the broadcast. The exact playlist and loop controls depend on the encoder you choose.

Protect the stream key
YouTube’s stream key tells the encoder where to send the feed and allows YouTube to accept it. Treat it like a password: do not expose it in public scripts, logs, screenshots, or source control. If it is compromised, reset it in Live Control Room. YouTube explains stream setup in its encoder help.

Create a YouTube Live stream and connect the encoder
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and select the encoder-based workflow.
- Copy the current ingest details: Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that stream. Do not rely on an endpoint copied from an old tutorial; the endpoint and application path must be correct for the current stream.
- Configure the encoder: Enter YouTube’s supplied URL and key in the encoder’s streaming settings, then choose RTMPS where supported. YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure extension to RTMP. The RTMPS connection uses the correct endpoint and application path, port 443, and SSL. See YouTube’s RTMPS ingestion guide.
- Keep the stream private or unlisted while testing: Start the encoder and check that the preview appears in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public.
Choose compatible video and audio settings
For a conventional SDR stream, YouTube lists H.264 video and AAC or MP3 audio, recommends constant bitrate encoding, and recommends a two-second keyframe interval that does not exceed four seconds. Its advanced settings list stereo audio at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. See Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
Set resolution, frame rate, and video bitrate to what your encoder can sustain and your server’s stable upload connection can carry. There is no single bitrate or resolution that is right for every server and source. Avoid selecting a high output setting just because the source file has it: confirm that the encoder and connection can maintain the feed without dropped frames or stream-health warnings.

Test, start, and monitor the broadcast
- Test with representative content: Use audio and motion comparable to the real playlist. YouTube recommends testing before you start the live stream.
- Review the preview: In Live Control Room, confirm that video, audio, playlist order, and continuity are correct.
- Read stream-health messages: Resolve warnings before publishing. Check the encoder output and network stability if YouTube reports problems.
- Start the public stream: Once the test is clean and the rights and visibility settings are correct, start or schedule the broadcast in Live Control Room.
- Keep monitoring: Watch stream health and the actual output while live. A server that is running unattended still needs a way for you to notice interruptions or rights-related action.
RTMPS or HLS: which should you use?
RTMPS is the straightforward starting point for ordinary encoder-based streaming. Consider HLS only if your encoder or required format calls for it and you can accept its higher latency. YouTube’s HLS guidance specifies HTTPS, transport-stream segments, segment durations between one and four seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments: Use HLS ingestion for live streaming.
Troubleshoot common remote-server problems
- YouTube does not receive a feed: Recheck the current stream URL, application path, and key in Live Control Room. For RTMPS, confirm port 443 and SSL are available from the server, and that the encoder is using the RTMPS endpoint rather than an old or incorrect URL.
- The encoder will not run on a headless Linux server: Check the encoder’s operating-system and display requirements. OBS’s Linux guidance lists an OpenGL 3.3-compatible GPU and X Window System or Wayland; use a supported display setup or another compatible encoder if the server does not meet those conditions.
- Video or audio is unstable: Check the encoder’s capacity and server upload stability at the chosen resolution and frame rate. Confirm constant bitrate, a two-second keyframe interval (never above four seconds), and compatible H.264 video and AAC or MP3 audio settings.
- YouTube interrupts the stream for a music match: Stop and address the rights issue; do not assume attribution or purchase settles it. Confirm the license covers the live transmission and ask the owner whether Content ID allowlisting is required. YouTube can interrupt or terminate streams that match third-party content.
- The stream is not available to start: Check verification, recent live-stream restrictions, and first-time activation status. If live streaming was just enabled, activation may take up to 24 hours.
