You can stream a Tamil children’s video playlist to YouTube around the clock without leaving a computer at home: upload the videos to a cloud playlist service, connect your YouTube channel with its stream key, and start the broadcast. For a playlist of prerecorded videos, there are two practical approaches. A managed cloud service handles file playback and sending the stream to YouTube. A self-managed setup gives you more control, but you must configure cloud compute, storage, a player or playlist process, encoding or segmentation, YouTube ingestion, and recovery.

Prepare the channel, videos, and rights first
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days to start live streaming. YouTube lists encoder streaming as one available method. Its Help Center also documents a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance before scheduling a long run.

Clear every video and audio right
Make sure you have permission to use every video, song, performance, recording, and other third-party element in the playlist. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, prompt a warning, or temporarily interrupt or terminate the broadcast. Even if you have a license, YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. Resolve that with the rights owner before going live. Claims against an archived stream may be made after the live broadcast ends. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
Set the audience accurately
Choose the audience designation that reflects the actual intended audience of the videos; do not choose it to preserve a feature or advertising outcome. For streams set as made for kids, YouTube disables live chat and comments on the archive. Personalized ads are disabled, though contextual ads may appear. YouTube’s live-streaming API also has a self-declared made-for-kids field, which matters if you automate broadcast creation. Organize a test playlist
- Put the videos in the intended order and confirm that each file plays correctly from beginning to end.
- Decide whether the playlist should repeat immediately or have a deliberate break between loops. Confirm that the service supports the playback behavior you want.
- Check that you have enough storage and that the upload is complete before starting. For a long playlist, test the sequence and audio on a noncritical broadcast first.
- Keep a copy of the playlist order and the source files so you can restore or revise the stream if an upload or file fails.
Set up a managed cloud playlist
1. Upload the files and arrange the playlist
Create an account with the cloud service you choose, then upload the Tamil children’s videos or select files already in its library or supported cloud storage. Arrange them in the order you want. 2. Connect the correct YouTube channel
In YouTube Studio’s live-stream setup, obtain the stream key for the intended channel and paste it into the cloud service’s YouTube destination settings. Follow the service’s current connection flow if it uses channel authorization instead. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, include it in a screen recording, or send it to anyone who does not need it. Use the key only for the channel and stream you intend to run.

3. Check the broadcast details before going live
Confirm the title, description, playlist, audience designation, and destination channel. If the service exposes encoder settings, follow the current values YouTube supplies for the selected ingestion method and the media you are sending. Avoid applying a bitrate, resolution, or keyframe preset copied from a different ingest protocol or source format. If your service offers a test or preview, verify both picture and sound before starting the public broadcast.
4. Start the stream and verify it in YouTube
Start the scheduled or continuous stream in the cloud service, then check YouTube Studio to confirm that the expected live broadcast is receiving the feed. Watch long enough to verify that the playlist advances and that audio remains present. Keep an operator responsible for checking the live status and responding to interruptions; cloud hosting removes the need to keep a home computer online, not the need to oversee the channel.

5. Plan how the run ends or restarts
Check the provider’s maximum run duration, restart process, and what happens after a disconnect before you depend on it. OneStream Live’s 24/7 help page states a maximum of 30 days for that feature. That limit is a vendor-specific service limit, not a universal YouTube duration rule. The official YouTube material cited here explains stream ingestion and management, but does not establish that a broadcast can run forever without interruption.
Build a self-managed cloud encoder
A self-managed pipeline is for operators comfortable running cloud services and diagnosing media-delivery failures. YouTube’s documentation provides the platform-side encoder and API concepts, plus HLS ingestion requirements; it does not give a tested deployment recipe for a particular cloud provider or playlist player. Treat the following as an architecture and implementation sequence, not a copy-and-paste configuration.

- Provision cloud compute and storage. Choose a cloud host and storage arrangement that can hold the source videos and keep the playback process available. Estimate capacity from the size of your files and decide how you will replace or restore a failed instance. No provider, instance size, or total cost is established here.
- Implement playlist playback. Configure a player or process to read the selected files in order and return to the beginning when the playlist ends. Validate file paths, audio tracks, ordering, and behavior when a file is missing or cannot be decoded. Do not assume that a playlist tool loops reliably until you have tested it.
- Choose the YouTube delivery method. For an encoder feed, send the live encoded output to the YouTube ingestion destination using the current instructions shown for the channel’s selected stream. For HLS, YouTube’s guidance calls for a media playlist and media segments; the feed is a single encoded stream with muxed audio and video sent over HTTPS using persistent connections. Read YouTube’s HLS ingestion requirements rather than assuming an ordinary web-hosted video playlist is itself a live feed.
- Set format and encoder parameters from the current ingest instructions. Use the resolution and frame rate supported by your source and the current YouTube settings for that ingest protocol. Match bitrate and keyframe interval to the current YouTube guidance for the selected protocol; do not use an arbitrary universal preset. Keep audio and video muxed as required for the chosen delivery method.
- Create and bind the YouTube broadcast and stream resources. If automating this through the API, account for the distinction between a broadcast and an incoming stream: each broadcast is a distinct YouTube video and is bound to a stream resource. Set and verify the audience field when creating or updating a broadcast. See YouTube’s explanation of broadcasts and streams and its LiveBroadcasts reference.
- Add monitoring and recovery. Monitor whether the player is advancing, the encoder or segmenter is producing output, and YouTube is receiving the feed. Decide who is alerted, how a process is restarted, and how the system re-establishes delivery after a cloud or network failure. Test recovery with a noncritical broadcast; a cloud VM by itself does not provide an automatic recovery plan.
- Test end to end before making it a continuous channel. Verify the video, audio, audience setting, channel, stream key, and archive behavior. Check the stream again after a playlist loop and after any planned restart. YouTube documents a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key, so include those limits when planning multiple broadcasts.
For API-based automation, YouTube’s API documentation describes how broadcasts and stream resources relate; it does not remove the need to operate the cloud playback and media pipeline. For HLS, follow the protocol-specific details in the HLS guide. The requirements are different enough that you should not mix settings or assumptions between HLS and another encoder-ingest method.

Cost and continuity planning
A managed service trades provider fees for less infrastructure work. A self-managed build may involve compute, storage, media delivery, monitoring, and operator time, but the total depends on the provider and architecture; no reliable figure is established here. Compare managed plans on playlist support, file and storage limits, maximum continuous run, restart behavior, account authorization, number of channels or concurrent streams, support, retention, and cancellation terms.
Budget for interruption rather than treating 24/7 as an absolute guarantee. YouTube’s documentation explains how to send and manage a live feed, while providers specify their own limits. Keep a responsible operator, a tested recovery procedure, rights documentation, and a plan for restarting or scheduling a new broadcast if the service or YouTube ends the feed.
