To stream recorded property walkthroughs as a YouTube Live broadcast, use an encoder that can play local video files in sequence. Create or schedule a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, connect the encoder with the stream URL and key, test the feed, then start the broadcast. YouTube’s documented workflow does not turn a YouTube-hosted playlist directly into a live stream.
Before you start: check eligibility, rights, and files
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says live streamers must be at least 16 years old. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming guide.
- Use an encoder that can play local video files, queue them in order, and loop them if needed. Queueing and looping are encoder-specific tasks, not a YouTube-hosted playlist-to-Live feature confirmed by YouTube’s guidance.
- Confirm you have distribution rights for the recorded footage, music, and other third-party material. YouTube’s livestream terms require necessary worldwide rights for Live Content, including applicable music rights: Livestream terms and conditions.
- Arrange the walkthrough files in the intended order. Play the full sequence as a test to catch missing files, black frames, silent transitions, or an unintended stop at the end.
Create the YouTube Live event
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live to enter Live Control Room.
- Create a stream or schedule it for later. Scheduling can make the event visible as upcoming and let viewers choose Notify me.
- Set visibility and add a clear title and description. If Telugu-speaking viewers are the intended audience, write the title, description, narration, and on-screen labels in Telugu as appropriate. YouTube’s cited guidance does not establish any special Telugu-language Live setting or eligibility requirement.
- Describe the event accurately as recorded property walkthroughs presented in a live broadcast. Do not suggest the properties are being shown live if the footage was recorded earlier.

Connect the encoder and choose stream settings
- In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the matching fields in your encoder. Treat the key like a password; do not share or display it.
- Use RTMPS if your encoder supports it. YouTube recommends it as the secure extension to RTMP. YouTube’s encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 among supported RTMP/RTMPS video codecs.
- Choose a resolution, frame rate, and bitrate your connection can sustain. YouTube supports frame rates up to 60 fps, recommends constant bitrate encoding, and recommends a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. See the current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guidance for the settings that match your output.
- In the encoder, load the local property videos in the desired order and set the desired end behavior, such as stopping after the final tour or looping the sequence. Confirm that this particular encoder supports the queue, transitions, and loop behavior you need.
Test the feed, then start the broadcast
- Run a pre-event test with audio and movement similar to the planned stream. Check that Telugu narration, if included, is clear and synchronized with the picture.
- Keep the total outgoing bitrate within the connection’s reliable upload capacity. YouTube recommends about 20% upload-bandwidth headroom; its streaming tips also advise using a reliable connection and testing before the event.
- Start the encoder output and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Check the image, sound, file order, and stream health before you start the public broadcast.
- Start the broadcast from the encoder or Live Control Room as required by your setup, then monitor picture, audio, and stream health throughout. A wired Ethernet connection can be a useful option when Wi-Fi is unreliable and the computer supports it, but YouTube does not require a particular cable.
End the stream and check the archive
Use the normal end-stream procedure in the encoder and Live Control Room. If an archive is created, review it for playback problems and check for Content ID claims. YouTube notes that claims on archived live streams may arrive after the live stream ends.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other copyrighted live broadcasts. If identified third-party content continues after a warning, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. For licensed third-party content, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Originality and monetization
Permission to use footage does not by itself establish monetization eligibility. YouTube’s monetization rules apply to live streams and separately address reused content and repetitive or mass-produced material. A July 15, 2025 clarification said repetitive or mass-produced content falls under the inauthentic-content policy. Similar property-tour episodes may have different substance and creative, educational, or other value, but no format guarantees monetization. Give each tour useful, original context—for example, distinct narration about the property’s layout or features—rather than relying on an unchanged loop. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
Troubleshoot common problems
