To stream a Malayalam relaxation playlist overnight, schedule a YouTube Live event, send your playlist and a permitted visual through an encoder, and check the live preview before going public. First confirm that you have explicit YouTube live-stream rights for every track: a license does not necessarily prevent a Content ID interruption. Keep the broadcast under 12 hours if you want YouTube to be able to auto-archive it, and make a local recording if preserving the full session matters.
Before you build the playlist, confirm the music rights
Use only tracks you own or have explicit permission to transmit live on YouTube. Permission should cover both the musical composition and the sound recording, the relevant territories, and any replay or archive. Keep the license or written permission where you can retrieve it if a claim arises.
YouTube’s livestream terms say creators must have all necessary rights for live content across Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. YouTube also scans live streams for third-party content. Even if you have a license, a stream may be interrupted unless the rights holder adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Ask about allowlisting before the event; do not assume that a purchase or general library subscription does it automatically. A track described as royalty-free is not automatically cleared for live streaming. Check the actual license and any platform-specific conditions.
Check that your channel can go live
Do this before planning the overnight slot. YouTube’s current help guidance says the channel must be verified, have livestreaming enabled, and have no livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube also sets a minimum age of 16 for live streaming. Eligibility can take time to resolve, so check the account in advance rather than on the night of the broadcast. Prepare the playlist, visual and event
Build a continuous playlist
Arrange only cleared Malayalam relaxation tracks in the order you want them to play. Check transitions and total run time, and make sure the encoder or playback setup will not stop after one track. If the playlist depends on local files, keep those files available and test the complete sequence rather than just the first song.

A static image or simple visual is enough for a music stream, but you must own it or have permission to use it on YouTube. Check that it displays as intended in the encoder preview, including any text or channel branding. Avoid visuals whose license is separate from the music license.

Create or schedule the YouTube event
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open the Live Control Room.
- Create a new stream or schedule the event. Set its title, description, audience setting and visibility, and choose the intended start time.
- Review the event details and open the stream settings to find the stream URL and stream key for the encoder.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your event. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio before streaming.

Configure and test the encoder before the overnight broadcast
In your encoder, select the YouTube ingest server or enter the stream URL, then paste the matching stream key. Set the audio input or playlist playback and the permitted visual. YouTube’s encoder workflow does not prescribe one universal resolution or bitrate for every connection and stream; choose settings your upload connection can sustain and confirm that the Live Control Room preview is stable. Do not set an arbitrary high bitrate just because the source files are high quality.

- Play the playlist from beginning to end, or test a representative section and every transition that could stop playback.
- Check that the encoder meters show audio and that the YouTube preview plays both audio and video as expected.
- Test the upload connection at the time and location you intend to stream. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload bandwidth headroom; the available upload capacity should exceed the stream’s bitrate by at least that margin. YouTube: Live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions.
- Start any local recording backup and confirm that the recording file is being written and has enough available disk space.
- Check that the computer will not sleep, restart for updates, or lose power during the broadcast. If streaming from home, a wired connection is an option where your computer and router have compatible ports; YouTube recommends a reliable connection but does not require Ethernet.
Start the stream and monitor it
- Start streaming from the encoder while the YouTube event is in preview mode.
- In the Live Control Room, wait for the incoming stream preview and check the audio, visual and stream status.
- When the preview is correct, select the option to go live in YouTube Studio if the event requires it.
- Open the public watch page in a separate browser or device and verify that viewers can access the event and hear the playlist.
- During the night, check that playback continues, the connection remains stable and the local recording is still growing. A stream that appears live in the encoder is not by itself proof that the public watch page is working.
Plan the end time and preserve the full session
YouTube says it can automatically archive a live stream that is less than 12 hours long; streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. This is not a guarantee that every shorter stream will be retained. If the complete overnight session matters, stop before the 12-hour threshold and keep a local recording backup. Confirm the recording is intact after ending the broadcast. YouTube: Archive live streams.
To end the event, stop the stream in YouTube Studio or the encoder as appropriate for the event, then wait for the encoder to stop sending. Check the resulting replay and your local file rather than assuming either saved successfully.

Troubleshoot common problems
- You cannot start the event: Check that livestreaming is enabled, the channel is verified, and there is no current restriction preventing live streaming. Confirm that the event is open at the scheduled time.
- The preview does not appear: Confirm the encoder is sending to the correct YouTube stream URL and that the stream key matches the selected event. Check the encoder’s connection status and restart its connection if needed.
- YouTube interrupts the broadcast or shows a copyright warning: Stop using the disputed track. Review the permission for both the composition and recording, including live use and territory; contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. A license that omits live transmission or allowlisting may not resolve the interruption.
- Audio or video stutters: Check upload capacity and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Reduce the encoder’s bitrate or output demands if the connection cannot sustain them, then test the preview again.
- The music stops between tracks: Check whether the playback source is configured to advance or loop, and test the whole playlist before restarting the event.
- The replay is missing or incomplete: A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured by YouTube. Use the local recording backup for the complete session; automatic archiving of shorter streams is possible, not guaranteed.
