To stream a prepared Hindi bhajan video loop on YouTube Live, use an encoder: create a stream in YouTube Studio, enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in encoder settings, test the feed, then start the broadcast from Live Control Room. First confirm you have rights to every part of the video and audio. For a broadcast longer than 12 hours, keep a local recording or plan shorter sessions: YouTube warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured as an archive.
Before you stream: clear rights to the bhajan and video
“Bhajan” describes a devotional-song category; it does not make a particular song, recording, arrangement, lyric, image, or video free to use. Confirm that you have permission to livestream every relevant element. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions put responsibility for necessary rights, including music licensing rights, on the person providing the live content.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder, interruption, or termination. Even if you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist so the stream is not interrupted. Ask the rights owner about the permissions and allowlisting requirements for your specific material. Rights depend on the particular work and recording and may vary by jurisdiction; this is not a determination of any specific bhajan’s status.
Check that your channel is ready to go live
YouTube’s live-streaming help says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. YouTube’s general live-streaming requirements also say you must be at least 16. If you have never streamed before, enable live streaming in advance: YouTube says initial activation may take up to 24 hours.

Set up the stream in YouTube Studio

In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a stream or schedule it for the time you want to begin.

Choose the encoder workflow in Live Control Room. Copy the YouTube server URL and stream key shown there into the matching stream settings in your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a feed to your stream. YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes the current flow; follow the labels Studio presents if the interface changes.

Start sending the video from the encoder. Wait for the preview in Live Control Room, then confirm the picture and audio are correct before starting the broadcast there, as required by the stream settings you chose.

Choose an encoder and test the loop
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder is a practical option if you already have a computer that can run the video and encode it reliably. YouTube supports encoder software; a dedicated hardware encoder is not required for a single prepared video loop. The computer and network need to remain available for the duration of a do-it-yourself broadcast, and you should be ready to monitor and recover the feed if something fails.

Dedicated hardware encoder
YouTube also supports standalone hardware encoders. Consider one only if its operating convenience or production controls suit your setup; it is optional, and the YouTube documentation does not establish that a particular model is necessary for this job.
Match video settings to your connection
Use YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrates as a guide for the selected resolution, frame rate, and codec. For H.264, its table recommends 4 Mbps for 720p at 60 fps and 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are recommendations for those specific combinations, not a universal bitrate; choose settings suited to the source and a stable upload connection. YouTube recommends RTMPS and documents supported ingest codecs and bitrate ranges on the same page.

Test the actual bhajan video and audio before the planned broadcast; confirm that the loop transitions as intended and that sound is present at a suitable level.

Make sure your total streaming bitrate does not exceed available upload bandwidth. YouTube recommends keeping 20% headroom, rather than using the entire connection’s measured upload capacity.

If the replay matters, arrange a local recording as well as the YouTube stream.
YouTube’s streaming tips recommend testing, monitoring stream health, and leaving upload-bandwidth headroom. A network interruption can break a live broadcast, so an all-day stream should not be treated as guaranteed unattended operation.
Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive warning
Live duration and replay archiving are separate concerns. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” See Archive live streams. If you need an on-platform replay, consider ending and starting planned shorter sessions rather than relying on one stream that exceeds 12 hours. Keep a local recording if preserving the full presentation is important, and confirm current Studio controls before scheduling.
Troubleshoot common bhajan live-stream problems
