To keep recorded Spanish-language sermons playing on YouTube around the clock, create a YouTube Live stream and send it from an encoder that plays the recordings in sequence or on a loop. You can run playback on church equipment or use cloud playout. YouTube requires channel verification and live-stream eligibility, and a broadcast longer than 12 hours may not be saved as a complete replay—so plan a separate archive if you need one.
Before you start: make sure the channel can go live
- Verify the church’s YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Collect the sermon recordings and check that the church has the necessary rights to broadcast each recording and everything included in it, such as music, readings, and other third-party material.
- Choose where the video will play: a computer or hardware encoder at the church, or a cloud playout service that supports continuous prerecorded streams.

YouTube’s encoder guide lists software and hardware workflows, including Gyre for cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded streaming and AJA HELO Plus as a hardware example. These are options to investigate, not a guarantee that a particular provider or device suits your church. The guide does not establish a universal cost or reliability comparison. Create the YouTube Live stream and connect the encoder
- In YouTube Studio, create a live stream or schedule one for the time you intend to begin. Use the encoder workflow rather than relying on a webcam-only setup for continuous prerecorded playback.
- In the stream’s settings, copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key into the encoder’s destination or streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: do not include it in public instructions, screenshots, or shared documents.
- In the encoder or playout service, select the sermon files and arrange them in the desired order. Enable repeat or looping if you want the playlist to begin again after the last recording.
- Start the encoder and confirm that YouTube Studio receives the feed. Check that both picture and audio are present and that the Spanish sermon files play as intended before depending on the stream.
YouTube’s workflow and encoder settings vary by the software or hardware you choose. Follow that encoder’s current instructions for destination fields and playlist controls; the shared YouTube steps are to create or schedule the stream, then provide the encoder with the stream URL and key.

Do not treat a continuous broadcast as the church’s only copy of its sermons. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete replay matters, keep a separate local recording or publish individual sermons as regular videos. YouTube also recommends keeping a local archive backup. A continuous playlist and an archive serve different purposes: the playlist keeps a live broadcast running, while separate recordings give the church a dependable way to preserve and publish each sermon.
Clear rights for every recording and included work
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including copyrighted material. If it detects a match, the live broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. If the church has permission to use detected third-party content, YouTube says the rights holder may need to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Check YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance before going live.
