You can stream a prerecorded Bengali playlist around the clock by running a playlist-capable encoder on a server and sending its continuous output to YouTube Live with a stream URL and stream key. First confirm that your channel is eligible and that you have the rights to every video and audio track; then test the playlist, encoder, and connection before making the broadcast public.
Before you set up the server
Confirm the channel can livestream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. First-time live-streaming activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your planned launch. See YouTube’s encoder livestreaming setup guide for current eligibility and setup steps.
Clear rights for every video and sound
Only include videos and audio that you own or are properly licensed to livestream. A license does not necessarily prevent an automated interruption: YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches, and a match can replace the stream with a placeholder or lead to interruption or termination. A rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams explains the scanning process, while its terms place responsibility for necessary rights, including music licensing rights, on the live-content provider. Check that permissions cover YouTube livestreaming and the territories where the content will be available.
Choose how the server will play and send the playlist
The setup has two jobs: a playlist reader or scheduler must select and sequence the Bengali videos, and an encoder must produce and send a continuous feed to YouTube. You can use software or hardware encoding, but do not assume that an encoder automatically loops or schedules a playlist. Confirm that the selected software supports the playlist behavior you need and how it handles the end of a file, a missing file, or a failed connection.

YouTube’s documentation does not specify a server operating system, CPU, memory, bandwidth, disk size, or playlist package for this use case. Size the server around your chosen encoding mode, source files, output resolution and bitrate, and reliability goals. If the server will transcode media, account for that workload; if it will only pass already encoded material through, the demands may differ. Validate sustained network upload capacity for the outgoing stream and keep enough storage for the files and any local recordings you choose to retain.
There is no single verified command or resource specification that fits every playlist stack. Use the selected encoder’s documentation for its exact playlist syntax and restart behavior, and test the complete workflow with your own media before relying on it unattended.

Create a YouTube Live event and connect the encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and create a livestream. Use Live Control Room to set up the broadcast. YouTube treats the broadcast as the event and the live stream as the feed and settings sent by the encoder; they are related but distinct parts of the workflow. See the YouTube Live Streaming API overview for this distinction and the continuous-broadcast concept.
- Copy the ingest server URL and stream key. Enter these in the encoder’s destination or streaming settings. The key is a credential that directs the encoder feed to your YouTube stream and enables YouTube to accept it, so store it as a secret. Do not publish it, include it in public logs, or share it with people who should not control the feed.
- Choose an ingest protocol your encoder supports. RTMP and HLS are not interchangeable configuration recipes. YouTube states that HLS ingest has higher latency than RTMP. If you select HLS, use the specific requirements below; do not apply them as universal RTMP settings.
- Load the playlist and configure continuous playback. Set the playlist reader to play the intended videos in sequence or loop as required by your chosen software. Configure the encoder to send the resulting feed to the YouTube URL with the key you copied. Exact controls and restart options depend on the software.
- Start with a private or unlisted test. Check the Live Control Room preview and listen to the audio. Confirm the right files play in the right order, both video and audio reach YouTube, and the server maintains the outgoing connection. YouTube recommends previewing and monitoring stream quality in its encoder setup guidance. Change visibility only after the test is satisfactory.
If you use HLS ingest
Follow YouTube’s HLS ingestion requirements for the HLS path:
- Use MPEG-2 Transport Stream (TS) segments lasting 1–4 seconds; byte-range segments are not supported.
- Use a rolling media playlist with no more than five outstanding segments.
- Send segments using HTTPS POST or PUT, with a persistent connection, and do not add encryption beyond HTTPS.
- Send one encoded stream with muxed audio and video in a continuous, decodable sequence.
These are ingest requirements, not a complete playlist-player setup. Your server software must still read and sequence the source videos and produce the feed in the format your chosen ingest path expects.

Plan for continuity, monitoring, and archives
Monitor the process, not just the YouTube page
A server-based 24/7 stream depends on the playlist input, encoder process, network connection, and YouTube ingest remaining healthy. Set up checks appropriate to your software for process status, source-file availability, audio and video output, and connection recovery. The cited YouTube guidance recommends continuous monitoring but does not prescribe a particular server restart service or health-check tool; configure and test those mechanisms for your stack rather than assuming they exist.
Do not rely on YouTube for a complete 24-hour archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind may also be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. If you need a complete recording, keep a local recording and verify that the server has the storage and recording workflow for it. Consider shorter broadcast sessions if YouTube’s archive is important, and confirm the current details in YouTube’s livestream archive guidance.

Common problems and what to check
- Live streaming is unavailable: verify channel eligibility and activation status; a first-time activation can take up to 24 hours, and recent live-streaming restrictions can affect eligibility.
- YouTube does not accept the feed: check that the encoder has the correct server URL and stream key, and that its selected protocol matches the ingest configuration in Live Control Room. Treat the key as a secret and replace it if it has been exposed.
- The stream starts but the playlist stops: check whether the playlist reader is configured to continue or loop and what it does when a file ends or cannot be read. Those behaviors depend on the chosen software.
- Audio or video is missing or poor: inspect the source file, encoder output, and Live Control Room preview; confirm that the outgoing feed contains the intended audio and video and monitor it continuously.
- HLS ingest fails: check TS format, 1–4-second segment duration, the five-outstanding-segment limit, rolling playlist behavior, HTTPS POST/PUT, and the requirement for muxed audio and video.
- The stream is interrupted after a rights match: review the video and audio rights, including music, and contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting where appropriate. A general license may not itself prevent automated matching.
- The expected archive is missing or incomplete: check stream duration. YouTube may not capture a stream longer than 12 hours, and DVR availability can also be limited past that point.
