You can stream a Hindi video playlist to YouTube Live at 4K/60 fps by looping authorized video files in a compatible playback or encoding system, then sending a 3840×2160 progressive feed to YouTube. YouTube handles ingest and viewer playback; the software or hardware you choose controls playlist order, repeat behavior, transitions, and recovery. For an unattended cloud option, StreamNeo plays uploaded videos on YouTube Live without a computer running at home.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming. YouTube’s current eligibility guidance requires channel verification, no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and meeting its age requirement. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned broadcast.
- A playlist-capable playback/encoding system that supports 2160p at 60 fps, the codec you plan to use, and repeat behavior. Playlist controls vary by product; YouTube does not prescribe the steps for building or looping a playlist in third-party software.
- A stable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity for the selected video and audio bitrate, plus operating headroom. Test the actual connection and stream health rather than relying on a provider’s advertised maximum.
- Video and audio files for which you have all required rights, including music licensing rights.
For a local encoder, keep the computer, encoder, and network connection running for the entire broadcast. A power or connection interruption can stop the feed, so decide in advance how you will monitor and restart it.
Choose the 4K60 encoder settings
YouTube’s English encoder settings guidance, retrieved in 2026, lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest and H.264, H.265 (HEVC), or AV1, up to 60 fps. Use constant bitrate (CBR) and a recommended 2-second keyframe interval; do not exceed 4 seconds. The listed bitrate values are codec-specific:
| Output | Codec | YouTube guidance |
|---|---|---|
| 2160p at 60 fps | AV1 or H.265 | 10–40 Mbps range listed by YouTube |
| 2160p at 60 fps | H.264 | 35 Mbps recommended by YouTube |
YouTube’s settings page can vary across locale versions, particularly for H.264 recommendations. Check the current table and selected codec for your production setup; do not treat one bitrate as universal. Choose a rate your connection can sustain and test it with representative motion and audio. YouTube transcodes the incoming feed into multiple formats for viewers.

Color and audio
- For SDR, YouTube lists Rec. 709 and 8-bit.
- For HDR, its guidance recommends H.265 and 10-bit; AV1 is not supported for HDR in that guidance.
- For stereo, the listed audio codecs are AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz. For 5.1 audio over RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube specifies AAC at 48 kHz.
These are YouTube ingest recommendations, not a guarantee that every encoder supports every combination. At 4K, YouTube uses normal latency; the low-latency option is unavailable.
Set up and start the continuous playlist
- Enable live streaming and confirm eligibility. Verify the channel and confirm it has no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days and meets YouTube’s age requirement. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder stream. Copy its server URL and stream key into your chosen encoder. Treat the key like a password; if it is exposed, reset it. A custom stream key can be reused.
- Prepare the playlist. Add only authorized video and audio files. In your playback or encoder software, select repeat/loop behavior and check that it handles transitions, file errors, and restarts as you need. Those controls are product-specific, so follow the current documentation for the system you chose.
- Set the outgoing feed. Configure 3840×2160 progressive at 60 fps, a supported codec, CBR, and the appropriate codec-specific bitrate and keyframe interval. Confirm the audio codec, sample rate, and color mode for your intended SDR or HDR output.
- Test the real network and content. Run a test using representative footage and audio. Check the YouTube preview, audio/video synchronization, encoder output, and stream health. Leave upload headroom instead of operating at the connection’s limit.
- Start the encoder and verify the event. YouTube recommends setting up an encoder at least two hours before an event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Use those intervals as preparation and test time, not as a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Start sending the feed, inspect the preview, then click Go live in Live Control Room if the scheduled-stream workflow requires it.
- Monitor the broadcast. Keep the encoder and network running, watch stream health, and keep a local recording backup. Have a restart plan for encoder, power, or network failures.
Plan sessions around YouTube archiving
If you want YouTube’s automatic archive, end and restart the broadcast before it reaches 12 hours. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream over 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR may also be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Keep your own recording regardless, and plan each session boundary so it does not interrupt the playlist unexpectedly.

Clear rights and understand monetization risk
You must hold all rights needed for the video and audio, including applicable music licenses. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches and may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID before the content can run without a match interruption. Resolve permissions and allowlisting before broadcasting.

That does not mean every looped playlist is automatically disallowed, but a minimally varied or mass-produced broadcast can create monetization risk. Technical ability to stream a loop does not guarantee monetization eligibility.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive a feed | Live streaming is not activated, or the ingest URL/key is wrong | Confirm channel eligibility and activation; copy the current server URL and key from Live Control Room. Reset the key if it may have been exposed. |
| Feed stutters, drops frames, or loses quality | The network cannot sustain the configured outgoing bitrate | Test upload capacity on the production connection, reduce bitrate within the supported settings if needed, and leave headroom. |
| 4K60 is unavailable or fails in the encoder | The selected encoder, codec, or hardware does not support that output combination | Confirm 3840×2160 progressive at 60 fps and codec support in the encoder’s current documentation; verify the actual outgoing preview. |
| Playlist stops or pauses between files | Looping, transition, or file-error behavior is controlled by the playback system | Check that product’s current playlist documentation and test every file transition before going live; YouTube does not provide universal playlist-loop settings. |
| Live feed is interrupted by a copyright match | Video or audio triggered third-party matching, or the channel is not allowlisted | Confirm rights and licensing, then resolve Content ID allowlisting with the relevant rights owner before restarting. |
| No automatic replay appears | The session exceeded 12 hours or archiving was otherwise unavailable | For future sessions, end before 12 hours and retain a local recording rather than relying on YouTube’s archive. |
