To stream Malayalam videos continuously on YouTube Live, send a continuous video feed from an encoder—not a regular YouTube playlist. You can run that encoder on a computer or use a cloud service. Before starting, verify that your channel is eligible, prepare a looping playlist of videos you have rights to use, and test the stream settings and audio.
What a 24/7 YouTube playlist stream is
A regular YouTube playlist plays videos on demand; it does not create a live broadcast. For a 24/7 stream, an encoder sends a continuous feed of prerecorded videos to YouTube Live. The videos can be in Malayalam, and you choose the stream’s title and other metadata. YouTube’s cited guidance does not establish a special Malayalam streaming feature, language restriction, or language-specific encoding setting.
Check your channel before setting up
- Your channel must be verified.
- You must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.
- YouTube’s current live-streaming help sets a minimum age of 16.
- First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours. Enable it well before your planned start.

Run an encoder on a computer
Computer software can feed your prerecorded videos to YouTube Live. The computer and its internet connection need to remain available for the stream to continue. YouTube’s encoder guidance recognizes computer software encoders, but does not specify a minimum computer configuration for this particular playlist use case. Test your intended files and setup rather than assuming a given machine will handle them.

Use a cloud service
YouTube’s encoder guide names Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. That reference does not establish Gyre’s current price, file limits, or suitability for every channel; verify its terms directly before choosing it.

Set up the YouTube Live stream
- Prepare the Malayalam videos. Gather the files you want to play and decide their order. Check that each file has usable picture and sound, and that the sequence can run continuously in your encoder or chosen service.
- Create or schedule a stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule the live stream. Choose a clear title and description that accurately identify the Malayalam content and its prerecorded nature.
- Connect the encoder. YouTube provides a stream URL and stream key for an encoder stream. Enter those details in your encoder or service. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the broadcast.
- Configure the output. YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its listed video codec options are H.264, H.265, or AV1; listed audio options are AAC or MP3. Use constant bitrate (CBR), a frame rate no higher than 60 fps, and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says the interval should not exceed four seconds.
- Choose a sustainable quality. Select resolution and bitrate based on your encoder, source files, and available upload connection. The cited guidance gives no one bitrate or resolution that fits every channel and connection. Test the intended quality on your actual setup and check YouTube’s stream-health feedback.
- Start and monitor. Start the encoder and confirm that Live Control Room receives the feed. Check both picture and audio, and watch stream health and messages while live.
Test the playlist, not just the connection
Before relying on a continuous broadcast, test representative videos, including the parts with the most movement and the loudest or quietest audio. Confirm that the files play in the intended order and that the transition or loop behaves as expected in your chosen encoder. A connection test alone will not catch a silent file, an unsuitable video, or a playlist that stops instead of looping.
- Check picture and sound at the beginning, during playback, and near a file transition.
- Confirm the stream remains connected while the playlist advances or repeats.
- Watch Live Control Room for stream-health problems and resolve them before treating the broadcast as unattended.
Plan rights and YouTube replays
Clear every part of the content
You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the material in the live stream, including applicable music rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. As YouTube Help explains, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can replace the live picture, interrupt the stream, or terminate it.

Having a licence does not necessarily prevent an interruption: the rights owner may also need to allowlist your channel through Content ID. Before scheduling, check the rights for every included video, image, and audio track, and confirm any required allowlisting with the rights owner.
Do not count on one complete 24-hour archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A single 24-hour broadcast exceeds that stated window, so do not promise viewers that YouTube will automatically provide one complete replay. If a complete archive matters, consider shorter sessions and verify the resulting archive behavior in YouTube Studio.
