To stream yoga at 4K/60 fps from an Indian PC, configure your encoder for 3840×2160 at 60 fps, use YouTube’s recommended bitrate for your codec, and make sure the venue’s upload connection can sustain the stream with headroom. For H.264, YouTube recommends 35 Mbps at 4K/2160p60. Rehearse with the actual camera framing, movement and audio before class: 4K streams use normal latency, not YouTube’s low-latency option.
What you need before going live
- A camera and capture path that can deliver the desired 4K/60 fps picture to the PC. Check the camera’s output, capture connection and software compatibility together; a camera purchase alone does not guarantee a 4K60 stream.
- A PC encoder capable of encoding the selected resolution, frame rate and codec reliably. The available hardware encoder options depend on the PC.
- A stable internet connection with sufficient upload bandwidth. Check upload speed at the venue and time you plan to stream; an advertised download speed does not establish upload capacity.
- A YouTube channel and access to YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room.
YouTube’s official guidance specifies platform settings, not which Indian city, ISP, PC or camera can sustain them. Test your actual setup rather than assuming a particular connection or device will work.
Configure YouTube Live and your encoder
- Create the stream: In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule the stream. Copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key like a password; reset it if it is exposed. YouTube normally detects resolution and frame rate, while a custom key can enable manual resolution settings. See YouTube’s stream management guidance.
- Set video output: In the encoder, select 3840×2160 resolution and 60 fps. Choose RTMPS when supported. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS and H.264, H.265 or AV1 as supported options. Use the codec your PC can encode consistently.
- Set bitrate and rate control: For H.264 at 4K/2160p60, start at YouTube’s recommended 35 Mbps. For AV1 or H.265 at the same output, YouTube lists a 10–40 Mbps range; choose a value your encoder and connection can sustain, then test. Set constant bitrate (CBR).
- Set keyframes: Use a two-second keyframe interval, as YouTube recommends; do not exceed four seconds.
- Set SDR color and audio: For ordinary SDR video, use Rec. 709 and 8-bit color. For stereo audio, YouTube lists AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 Kbps. Do not label the stream HDR unless the full signal path is deliberately configured for HDR.
These are YouTube’s ingest settings, not a guarantee that a specific encoder or network can sustain the output. Review YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate table before an important event because platform guidance can change.

Check upload capacity and leave headroom
YouTube says the total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth and recommends 20% headroom. For a 35 Mbps H.264 video stream, 20% above the video bitrate is 42 Mbps of available upload capacity; audio and any other outgoing traffic also use bandwidth. Treat that arithmetic as a planning floor, not proof that a connection will remain stable.

- Run an upload speed test from the streaming location, preferably at the time of day the class will take place.
- Account for other devices, cloud backups and calls using the same connection. Use a wired connection where practical and avoid relying on a crowded shared Wi-Fi network.
- If upload varies or falls short, lower the resolution or frame rate, then rehearse again. A stable lower-resolution stream is preferable to an unreliable 4K signal.

Rehearse the yoga class, not just the settings
Use the same camera position, movement and audio levels you expect during the class. YouTube Help advises testing with audio and movement similar to the live stream. Watch the preview and stream health while you perform a representative flow.

- Frame the full mat and check that extended arms, legs and standing poses stay visible near the picture edges.
- Check focus and exposure as you move between poses; confirm spoken instructions are clear and music or other audio does not clip.
- Ask a viewer to check the stream on a separate device and confirm the image and sound are usable.
- Explain the interaction delay to participants and test whether the pace works for live corrections or chat questions.
Understand the 4K latency trade-off
YouTube’s 4K streams use normal latency; its low-latency option does not support 4K. That can matter in an interactive yoga class where students expect an immediate response to a question or correction. If fast interaction is more important than 4K detail, rehearse at a lower resolution and check the available latency options in YouTube Studio. See YouTube’s live latency guidance.

Troubleshoot common 4K60 problems

Camera and capture upgrades: verify the whole chain
A 4K webcam or camera may help if the built-in camera cannot show the instructor and yoga space clearly. YouTube says a laptop and webcam can be used and that better equipment results in better live-stream quality, but that does not certify a particular camera for 4K60. Before buying, verify the camera’s clean output resolution and frame rate, capture connection, PC encoder support and software compatibility as a complete path.
