To run a 24/7 Marathi bhajan radio-style channel on YouTube, prepare a playlist of recordings you have permission to broadcast, create a YouTube Live stream, and send it from an encoder. You can use software on a computer, a dedicated hardware encoder, or—if you are streaming prepared files—a cloud playout service. Check channel eligibility before preparing the broadcast
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do this ahead of your planned launch rather than on the day you intend to go live. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.

- Verify the YouTube channel and enable live streaming in advance.
- In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live to reach the Live Control Room. Create a stream or schedule it, then set its title, description, visibility, and audience settings deliberately.
- Choose the encoder route and prepare the playlist, artwork, or other visuals before the test broadcast.
Clear rights for each recording
Get permission for the specific material you plan to broadcast, including the composition, lyrics, arrangement, and sound recording where applicable. Confirm that the license covers the territories you intend to reach and both live use and any replay or archive. A bhajan’s traditional or devotional character does not, by itself, establish that a particular arrangement or recording is free to stream.
YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions say the provider must have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. YouTube also scans live streams for third-party matches. When it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder image and warn the creator; continued use can interrupt or terminate the broadcast. If you have licensed the material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. An archived live stream can also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Platform guidance does not determine the rights status of any particular Marathi recording.
Connect an encoder to YouTube Live
The encoder workflow is the same in principle whether you use software or hardware: YouTube supplies a stream destination and key, the encoder sends the feed, and you check the preview and stream health before relying on it.

- In the Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream and locate its stream URL and stream key.
- Open your encoder’s streaming settings and enter the YouTube stream URL and key in the corresponding fields. Treat the key like a password: it authorizes the encoder to send the feed to your channel, so do not publish or share it. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio.
- Configure video and audio settings the encoder and connection can sustain continuously. For a starting point, YouTube recommends 2 Mbps video bitrate for 720p at 30 fps. That is a platform setting reference, not a guarantee that a particular connection will remain stable.
- Use constant bitrate (CBR) encoding and a two-second keyframe interval, following YouTube’s general encoder guidance. Use RTMP or RTMPS; YouTube recommends RTMPS for encryption. See the current YouTube Live encoder settings for the full supported-settings table.
- Start the encoder and check that the Live Control Room preview shows the intended picture and audio before you make the stream public or announce it.
Build a test that reflects the real broadcast
Test with representative bhajan recordings, visuals, and the actual network connection you plan to use. Listen for clipping, silence, channel imbalance, or unwanted gaps between tracks; check that artwork or motion visuals display as intended. Confirm the preview and stream-health indicators, then monitor them during operation rather than assuming a successful test guarantees an uninterrupted long run. YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends testing and monitoring.
Plan for continuity and replay separately
A single 24/7 broadcast is convenient for a continuous radio-style watch page, but it is not a reliable way to preserve a complete archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured. If a replay matters, make and preserve a local recording, and consider whether shorter scheduled broadcasts better suit your archive needs. Review YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance before deciding how to handle recordings.
- For a software-encoder setup, confirm that the computer will not sleep or shut down and that power and internet remain available.
- For any route, decide who will notice a failed feed and what they can do to restore it.
- Keep a separate copy of recordings needed for replay, editing, or recovery.

The channel cannot start a live stream
Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility, and whether a restriction has applied within the previous 90 days. If this is your first enablement, allow up to 24 hours for it to become available.

Confirm that the encoder has the correct YouTube stream URL and stream key, is actively sending, and has a working upload connection. Check for accidental whitespace or a stale key, then restart the encoder and inspect the preview.
The broadcast stutters or disconnects
Reduce resolution or bitrate to a level the connection can sustain over time, check for local network or power interruptions, and verify the encoder is using CBR and the recommended two-second keyframe interval. Monitor stream health after changes.

YouTube replaces the picture or interrupts the stream
Check for a third-party-content warning or match. Confirm rights for the exact recording and intended uses; if licensed, contact the rights owner about allowlisting your channel in Content ID.
The replay is missing or incomplete
A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive. Use a local recording when preserving the full broadcast matters, and verify the recording process before relying on it.
