You can use OBS Studio to send a continuous Bengali Rabindra Sangeet program to YouTube, but OBS does not provide the rights to broadcast the recordings. Before configuring a 24/7 stream, clear the exact recordings, compositions and arrangements for livestream use, and ask the relevant rights holder whether your YouTube channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist. Then prepare YouTube access, build and test the OBS program, and keep the encoder and internet connection available for the stream to continue.
1. Clear the music rights before building the stream
Make a track-by-track inventory of what you intend to broadcast. For each selection, identify the specific sound recording, the underlying composition and the arrangement. Rights can differ between these layers, so do not assume that permission for one covers the others.
YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights involving artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. See YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions. Your permission should expressly cover YouTube livestreaming; if you want the broadcast archived, establish that the intended archive use is covered too.
- Owning a copy, finding a recording online, crediting the performer or describing a track as royalty-free does not by itself establish that you have the necessary rights.
- Do not assume a composition’s age settles the rights status of a particular recording or arrangement.
- Keep written permission or license records for the actual tracks and intended uses.
Ask about Content ID allowlisting
YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. A match can interrupt or terminate a stream. YouTube says that even if you have licensed third-party content, you may need to ask the owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm the process with the rights holder before you go live; a license alone does not guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

2. Enable YouTube live streaming ahead of time
Prepare the channel before the planned broadcast, rather than leaving activation until stream day. YouTube for Artists advises verifying the account at least 24 hours before going live. Treat that as a minimum preparation lead time from its music-channel guidance, not as a complete statement of every current eligibility condition. Use YouTube’s current live-streaming setup to create or prepare the broadcast and obtain its stream connection details. Interface labels and account requirements can change, so follow the current instructions shown in your YouTube Studio account rather than relying on a fixed menu path. Keep the stream key private: anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your channel.

3. Build the continuous program in OBS
OBS Studio is free, open-source software that can be used commercially under its stated license; it is an encoder and production tool, not a music license. See the OBS Help Portal. Assemble the program from audio and visual sources you are authorized to use.

Prepare audio and visuals
- Add the authorized music files or another authorized audio source to your OBS scene. Check that the full sequence plays in the intended order and that transitions do not leave silence or an unintended gap.
- Use a still image, title card or other visual only if you have the rights to use it. Ensure the image remains appropriate throughout the broadcast.
- Set audio levels and listen through the entire planned loop. Check both the beginning-to-end transition and any gaps between tracks.
- Keep the scene simple enough to monitor. A continuous music stream still needs someone to notice audio failure, dropped connections or rights notices.
Connect OBS to YouTube
Use the current connection workflow presented by YouTube and OBS: select YouTube as the streaming destination in the available OBS setup, or enter the server and stream key supplied by YouTube if using a manual connection. Do not share or publish the key. Start with a private or otherwise non-public test if your account offers that option, then confirm YouTube receives the expected picture and sound before making the broadcast public.

Set the output resolution, frame rate and bitrate to values your hardware and sustained upload connection can reliably support. There is no universal bitrate or resolution for this particular music stream: choose settings according to the source material, encoder capacity, network stability and the options YouTube currently provides. Avoid changing several encoder settings at once during troubleshooting.
4. Test the full loop and plan for continuity
A 24/7 stream depends on the encoder and its network path remaining available. OBS running on a computer does not make the computer, power supply or internet connection fault-tolerant. Assess the equipment and connection you already have before buying anything; the information available here does not establish a particular computer, UPS, audio interface or storage device as a required purchase.

- Test the complete audio sequence, scene changes and loop boundary.
- Confirm that YouTube receives the intended audio and visual output and that the stream key connects correctly.
- Plan how someone will monitor the broadcast and respond to a failed encoder, lost connection, unexpected silence or YouTube notice.
- Consider what happens if the local computer loses power or the internet connection drops. Testing helps expose problems but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
5. Decide whether to keep a YouTube archive
Choose deliberately whether to archive the livestream. YouTube says Content ID claims on an archived livestream may be made after the live session completes, so the live transmission and the archived version may not receive identical treatment. Check that your permissions cover archived playback if you enable it, and review the finished archive for claims or other restrictions. Details are in YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
