Keep straps and hardware from marking the leather
Arrange chains, buckles, and straps so they do not press against or rub the bag’s leather. CHANEL recommends wrapping chains or straps with tissue paper. Use a pouch and give the bag space
Place the prepared handbag in its original dust bag or a soft fabric pouch. A pouch helps shield the finish from dust and incidental contact; Gucci specifically recommends its provided flannel dust bag to protect against scratches and preserve shape. Store the bag upright if its construction permits, with room around it. Do not stack anything on top, squeeze it into a crowded shelf, or hang it by its handles for long periods. Choose a suitable storage spot
Use a clean, dry, well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
