There is no separate Halloween event-start button in GTA Online. To begin the first 2026 Weekly Challenge, enter GTA Online and secure two Bail Office Bounties between October 1 and October 7. That challenge earns the Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000.
How to start the GTA Online Halloween event
Rockstar’s October 1, 2026 announcement presents Halloween as a month-long run of activities and Weekly Challenges, not a separate event you need to activate. Start by playing GTA Online during the current challenge window and completing its listed objective. The first window is October 1–7, 2026: secure two Bail Office Bounties.
The objective changes by date, so use the schedule below rather than assuming the first task remains available throughout the event. Rockstar’s announcement does not specify a platform-specific menu route for finding or launching each activity.

Completing all five Weekly Challenges earns an additional GTA$2,000,000. Rockstar says this all-challenges bonus is delivered within 72 hours of completion. The 2026 announcement does not give a separate delivery-time guarantee for each individual weekly reward.

Other Halloween activities and payouts
You can also take part in Halloween activities and bonuses during October, whether or not they match your current Weekly Challenge:
- Halloween Survivals: Earn 3X GTA$ and RP. Rockstar includes Alien Survivals, Cayo Perico Survival, and Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
- Ghosts Exposed: Earn 2X GTA$ for the activity. Successfully photograph all 10 spirits to earn the Ghosts Exposed Jacket.
- Bail Office Targets and Dispatch Work: Earn 2X GTA$ and RP throughout October.
- Other featured activities: Rockstar also highlights Slasher, the Halloween Featured Series, San Andreas Super Sport Series, and Peyote Plants.
When should GTA Online Halloween rewards arrive?
For 2026, the only delivery window Rockstar explicitly provides in its event announcement is up to 72 hours for the GTA$2,000,000 bonus after you complete all five Weekly Challenges. It does not state when each weekly mask, outfit, or individual cash reward will be delivered, so do not assume those items follow a stated immediate-delivery rule.

Rockstar Support’s 2025 guidance for the separate Vinewood Undead Collection said weekly rewards were awarded immediately and the collection arrived within 72 hours after the required three challenges. Those instructions applied to that 2025 promotion, with different tasks; they do not establish delivery timing for the 2026 Halloween rewards.
