New Game++ is available in CONTROL Resonant with update 1.4.0 or later. Remedy says you can now play an infinite number of runs, but its update notes do not specify the exact menu prompt or button sequence for starting a later cycle. The carryover details Remedy has published describe New Game+; they are not a separate item-by-item guarantee for every NG++ run.
How to start a New Game++ run
Install update 1.4.0 or later, released October 1, 2026. Remedy’s update notes confirm that New Game++ runs can continue indefinitely, but do not document the exact transition steps for a subsequent run. Use the current in-game New Game+ prompt from a completed run, and check the save you intend to continue before confirming.

A third-party guide describes the original New Game+ flow: after completing the campaign and viewing the epilogue, enter the Gap, face the abilities mural and activate its Hedron illustration. The guide lists D-pad Down, hold L1, then X and Yes as controller inputs. That account predates the NG++ update and is not confirmation of the exact NG++ interaction; follow the prompt shown in your current game rather than relying on those buttons for a later cycle. What carries over into later runs?
Remedy’s published carryover list covers New Game+: its April 30, 2026 explanation, written by Lead Gameplay Designer Sergey Mohov, says the following persist into the next run. The update that enables unlimited runs does not publish a separate inventory confirming every item’s behavior in the second and subsequent cycles.

These carryover details come from Remedy’s New Game Plus overview. It is reasonable to expect the established NG+ rules to inform repeat runs, but the published notes do not separately guarantee each category for every NG++ transition.
What changes in New Game+?
Remedy’s NG+ overview describes changes to builds and encounters, not new bonuses exclusive to the second or later repeat run.

Update 1.4.0 increases the main-menu save-slot count from five to seven and says New Game+ runs and the original run live in separate save folders. The update notes do not explain exact save behavior across every later NG++ transition, so inspect the available save before starting a new cycle and avoid overwriting a run you want to keep.
