To present a prerecorded Tamil yoga-relaxation program as a YouTube livestream, schedule an event in YouTube Studio, connect a streaming encoder such as OBS Studio with the event’s stream URL and key, test the video and audio, then start the encoder feed at the scheduled time. YouTube provides the event page and live-feed destination; the encoder sends your prerecorded program as a live feed.
What you need before you begin
- A YouTube channel with livestreaming enabled. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Your finished video file, including Tamil narration or other audio, in a format your encoder can play.
- An encoder. OBS Studio is a free, open-source option for video recording and livestreaming, with scenes and audio/video mixing.
- Permission to use every visual and audio element in the live transmission and any archived replay.
This is a prerecorded program presented through a live feed, not a real-time yoga class. YouTube does not turn an uploaded file into a livestream by itself: the encoder or another streaming workflow must send the program.
Schedule the YouTube event
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create > Go live to open Live Control Room.
- Open the Manage tab and choose the option to schedule a stream. Enter a clear title, description, visibility, date and time, and other requested details. YouTube’s live stream settings guide covers the event and stream settings.
- Save the scheduled event. It can appear as an upcoming stream with a watch page, and viewers can choose to receive a reminder. Scheduling creates the event; it does not start sending your video.
- In Live Control Room, locate the event’s stream settings and copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your event. Use the scheduled event’s key and destination in your encoder.
Prepare the prerecorded video in OBS
- Install and open OBS Studio, then create a scene for the program. Add a media source and select the prerecorded video file. Configure playback to loop only if you intend the program to repeat; otherwise let it end once.
- Check the picture in the OBS preview. Confirm the full frame is visible, the aspect ratio is appropriate, and any text or graphics are legible. Avoid stretching the video to fill a different-shaped canvas.
- Listen to the Tamil audio from beginning to end, including transitions and the closing. Check that narration and any music are clear and comfortably balanced, with no clipping, unexpected silence, or unintended desktop audio.
- Open OBS stream settings and enter the YouTube server URL and stream key copied from Live Control Room. Keep the stream key confidential and do not include it in screen recordings or public documentation.
- Choose output settings that your computer and connection can sustain. YouTube’s encoder guide provides recommended settings for its supported formats; follow the current recommendations there rather than guessing a bitrate or keyframe interval. Match the output frame size and frame rate to the source where practical, and verify the selected values in OBS before broadcasting.

- Before the public event, make a short private or unlisted test stream. Confirm OBS can play the file and send a feed, and check the result in Live Control Room. Verify the Tamil audio, image framing, sound level, and stream accessibility on another device if possible.
- On the event day, open the scheduled event in Live Control Room and start OBS early enough to inspect the incoming preview and resolve problems before the announced start.
- When the preview is correct and the event is ready, start streaming from the encoder. Keep Live Control Room open to monitor the feed and audio/video quality while the program plays.
- When the program is finished, stop streaming from OBS so it stops sending content. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume a longer stream will be archived.
Clear music and video rights before broadcasting
You are responsible for having the necessary rights for live content, including music, under YouTube’s livestream terms. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can cause a warning, replacement of the feed with a placeholder, interruption, or termination if the matched material continues. Even licensed content can interrupt a stream if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Use YouTube Audio Library tracks carefully
YouTube says, “Only music and sound effects from the Audio Library are known to YouTube to be copyright-safe.” Find the library in YouTube Studio and check each track’s terms: some Creative Commons tracks require attribution. YouTube cautions that it cannot assure tracks from other “royalty-free” libraries are safe. Keep the track details and any license records, and confirm that the terms cover both the live transmission and the replay. See YouTube’s Audio Library guidance.
Check any third-party music license against your exact use
For example, Meditation Music Library’s published terms describe permitted use as backing for guided meditation and YouTube videos, including monetized videos, with conditions such as voiceover for guided recordings and credit in the video description. These are the vendor’s terms, not a YouTube endorsement. Check the current license for your specific track, live broadcast, replay, and monetization plans, and retain proof of permission.

Creator Music has eligibility and changing terms
YouTube’s Creator Music help page says access is for U.S. YouTube Partner Program creators, with expansion beyond the U.S. pending. The page also says that starting in August 2026 paid licenses will phase out in favor of no-cost and revenue-sharing tracks; existing licenses remain valid until expiration. Availability and terms can change, so verify access and the current track terms in Studio before relying on it.
Make each session distinct and authored
Scheduling prerecorded videos does not by itself make a channel eligible for monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policies say highly repetitive or mass-produced content with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation is ineligible under its inauthentic-content policy. Reused content is assessed across the channel, and reviewers may consider the videos, channel description, titles, and descriptions.

Make your contribution clear: use original Tamil narration where appropriate, give each relaxation session a distinct theme or sequence, pace it purposefully, and describe accurately what viewers will hear and see. YouTube says eligible monetized livestreams may earn from ads and, where available, features such as Super Chat, Super Stickers, or memberships; eligibility and policy compliance apply, and ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. This is not a revenue forecast.
Troubleshoot common problems
