Bluehost’s AI Store free trial gives you 14 consecutive days to generate, configure, and preview a storefront. It is not a live sales channel: Bluehost says you must upgrade to Sell Online before you can publish the store and accept orders or payments. Use the trial to prepare the site and check its settings, then upgrade and publish as separate steps when you are ready to launch.
What the 14-day trial includes
Bluehost advertises a 14-day AI Store trial with no credit card required. The 14 days begin at signup, run consecutively, and cannot be extended, according to its AI Store page. During the trial, you can build and preview a website and configure the AI Store Dashboard.
The key boundary is publication and commerce. Bluehost’s upgrade guide says, “To publish your website, sell products, and process orders through your online store, you must upgrade to the Sell Online plan.” Treat the trial as a preparation period, not a way to take real customer orders.
How to get started
- Open the AI Store setup flow. Start from Bluehost’s AI Store or AI Website Builder page and describe your business and what it sells. Bluehost presents the builder as a prompt-based way to generate a storefront.
- Create or sign in to your Bluehost account. Continue through the account and storefront flow described in Bluehost’s AI Store guide. The trial clock starts at signup, so plan to use the 14 days consecutively.
- Review the generated storefront. Preview the design and inspect the text and product details rather than assuming AI-generated material is accurate, complete, or legally compliant.
- Work through the AI Store Dashboard. Configure the store using the checklist below while the site is still in preview.
Complete the store setup checklist
Generating a design is only the start. Bluehost’s AI Store Dashboard setup guide and AI Store FAQ identify the following work:
#1 Best Overall
- Business details: Enter business information and choose the store currency.
- Products: Add titles, descriptions, images, prices, inventory information, and categories. Check each listing for accuracy.
- Customer-facing pages: Create the pages your customers need, then review their content.
- Branding and navigation: Customize the logo, favicon, colors, fonts, and navigation.
- Payments: Connect payment methods. Bluehost’s launch checklist specifically calls for confirming the Stripe connection before publishing.
- Taxes: Review tax settings for the regions where you expect to sell; do not assume default settings establish your obligations.
- Shipping: Configure shipping zones and rates for the areas you will serve.
- Domain and content: Check the domain and review the storefront content as part of the pre-launch inspection.
Trial versus upgrading to Sell Online
| Stage | What it is for | Publishing and ecommerce | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Store free trial | Build, configure, and preview the website and dashboard during 14 consecutive days from signup. | Does not let you publish the AI Store or accept customer orders and payments. | Bluehost advertises the trial as free and says no credit card is required on its AI Store page. |
| Sell Online | Paid plan Bluehost identifies as the upgrade needed for an online store. | Required to publish the website, sell products, and process orders; publication itself remains a separate action. | The AI Store page currently advertises $15.99 per month. This is a volatile advertised price, not a guaranteed checkout price; verify billing term, promotions, taxes, and the current offer on the order page. |
Bluehost distinguishes its Get Online and Sell Online options, with Sell Online unlocking ecommerce. Check the current plan details and price at checkout rather than relying on a landing-page figure.

When your store is ready for customers, follow the sequence in Bluehost’s upgrade and publishing guide:
Rank #2
- From the Bluehost Portal or AI Store editor, choose the option to upgrade to Sell Online.
- Select a billing term and complete payment. Review the order page for the current price and terms.
- Connect an active domain if needed.
- Before launch, confirm product information, the Stripe connection, shipping zones and rates, tax settings for your sales regions, site content, and domain.
- Publish the site from the editor. The upgrade alone does not make the website visible; publishing is a separate final action.
If the 14-day trial ends before you are ready to sell, Bluehost’s cited materials establish that the trial is limited to 14 consecutive days and that Sell Online is needed for publication and commerce. Check your account and current plan terms for what happens to access after the trial; the cited trial page does not establish those post-trial details.
