007 First Light added Photo Mode in the free Extended Operations update (version 1.3.0) on October 1, 2026. To share a shot, compose it in Photo Mode, capture it with your platform’s screenshot tool, then post the saved image. Steam’s screenshot workflow is documented; exact PS5 and Xbox button sequences and some PC save locations are not established by the official game guidance cited here.
What you need to know before taking a screenshot
IO Interactive introduced Photo Mode in Update 1.3.0, calling it a way to “Capture Bond, the locations and the action from your own angle.” The mode frames the scene; taking a screenshot and sharing the resulting image are separate steps. IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 update notes describe Photo Mode as part of the free Extended Operations update.
The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. IO Interactive lists Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store as PC storefronts. The PlayStation listing is for PS5, including PS5 Pro, and not PS4; the Xbox listing covers Xbox Series X|S and PC. IO Interactive’s platform support page, the PlayStation store listing, and the Xbox store listing identify these platforms.
Capture and share a screenshot by platform
Steam on PC
- Open Photo Mode in 007 First Light and compose the image you want.
- Use Steam’s currently configured screenshot shortcut to capture the screen. Steam documents screenshot support through the Steam Overlay; the shortcut can be changed, so check your own setting rather than assuming a particular key.
- To check or change the shortcut, open Steam and go to Steam > Settings > In-Game, then review the screenshot settings.
- Open the captured image using Steam’s screenshot interface or locate it through the configured Steam screenshot settings, then upload it to the community or social platform where you want to share it.
Steam’s official screenshot documentation covers its Overlay screenshot feature and settings. The reviewed documentation does not establish a 007 First Light-specific export button, image format, or save-folder path.

Epic Games Store or Microsoft Store on PC
- Compose the shot in the game’s Photo Mode.
- Take the screenshot with the capture tool configured for your PC or storefront.
- Check that tool’s saved-image location, open the image, and upload it to your chosen destination.
The official material cited here confirms the PC storefronts but does not document a shared capture shortcut or save location for the Epic and Microsoft Store versions. Check the capture utility you use before relying on a specific key or folder.
PlayStation 5
- Compose the image in Photo Mode.
- Use the PS5 capture interface to take a screenshot.
- Open the saved capture using the console’s capture interface, then use the sharing options available on your system to post or transfer it.
The official game materials confirm PS5 availability and Photo Mode, but do not give a current button sequence, export walkthrough, or mobile-app transfer instructions. For exact controls and transfer steps, follow current official PlayStation support guidance for your console software.

Xbox Series X|S
- Compose the image in Photo Mode.
- Use the Xbox capture interface to take a screenshot.
- Open the saved capture from that interface and use the sharing or transfer options currently available on your system.
The official game page and update notes establish Xbox Series X|S availability and Photo Mode, but do not specify the screenshot button sequence, upload behavior, retention period, or export path. Consult current official Xbox support guidance for exact navigation.

Where to post your image
IO Interactive welcomes fan art, screenshots, clips, and other creations. Its community guidance asks players to tag the official account on the platform where they post so the community team can find it. It also advises using spoiler warnings for spoiler-containing posts and following the destination platform’s rules.

Choose a destination that suits the image and your audience; these channels are not all equivalent as full-resolution image hosts. You can also share the file through another service or platform you normally use, subject to its upload and privacy settings.

Do not rely on IOI Account cross-progression to transfer screenshot files. IO Interactive’s account support information describes online progression data and explicitly excludes campaign saves or progression, achievements or trophies, and leaderboards from transfer. It does not list screenshots as transferable data or describe a screenshot cloud-transfer feature.
