Set your PS VR2 play area from the PS5 before launching Into the Radius 2: go to Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2 > Set Play Area and follow the prompts. The PlayStation Store listing identifies sitting and standing as supported play styles and requires a PS VR2 headset and PS VR2 Sense controllers. For either style, PlayStation recommends at least 1 m by 1 m of clear space, plus enough room to move the controllers without striking anything.
Choose sitting or standing and clear the space
The current PlayStation Store listing for Into the Radius 2 names sitting and standing as supported play styles; it does not list roomscale for this game. PlayStation’s platform guidance calls for a minimum clear area of 1 m by 1 m for sitting or standing. Treat that as a floor-space minimum, not a guarantee that your arms or controllers can move safely in every direction.
Before setting the boundary, move furniture, pets, loose cables, and other objects out of the area where you may reach or step. PlayStation’s setup instructions advise clearing obstacles and following the on-screen setup flow.

Set or reset the PS VR2 play area
- From the PS5 home screen, open Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2 > Set Play Area.
- Follow the on-screen steps to scan and configure the boundary around the space you cleared.
- Refine or reset the boundary if the room layout changes. PlayStation says the boundary appears as you approach it; leaving the play area pauses the game and reveals the surroundings.
PlayStation explains that the space needed depends on a PS VR2 game’s play style in its play-area guidance. Its general roomscale guidance calls for 2 m by 2 m or larger, but the game’s listing does not establish roomscale support for Into the Radius 2. Do not select or plan around roomscale for this title on the basis of the platform’s general description alone.

Fit the headset and choose optional effects
After the boundary is set, follow the headset’s setup prompts. PlayStation recommends adjusting the headband, scope, and lenses so the headset sits comfortably and your eyes are centered in the lenses. These are PS VR2 fit adjustments rather than game-specific options; see the official PS VR2 setup guide.
The Store listing marks headset vibration, controller vibration, and controller trigger effects as optional. Choose whether to use them according to your preference; the listing does not prescribe a comfort-focused configuration. The same listing identifies the PS VR2 headset and Sense controllers as required hardware for the game: Into the Radius 2 on PlayStation Store.

What the official sources establish about in-game comfort settings
The official Store and setup material cited here does not document Into the Radius 2’s in-game locomotion, turning, vignette, or other comfort-menu controls. That means a specific setting cannot be confirmed from these sources; it is not evidence that the game has no such controls. Check the game’s current menus for available options rather than relying on a presumed setting from another version or platform.
Release-date discrepancy
As of October 4, 2026, the live US PlayStation Store listing displays an October 8, 2026 release date, while a PlayStation.Blog announcement dated August 24, 2026 gives September 24, 2026. The dates conflict. For present availability, use the live US Store listing; the older PlayStation.Blog announcement is not a current substitute for it.
