A focused, stable page is usually easier to monitor usefully than a broad homepage where unrelated content changes can create noise. - Find the source page. Open the relevant bank or government website yourself and copy the URL of the specific notice, recruitment, policy, or information page—not a search-results page.
- Pick a monitoring mode. Use content or keyword monitoring for wording and phrases, an HTML-element monitor for a particular field where supported, or visual monitoring if page appearance is the signal you care about.
- Preview the page. For visual monitoring, enter the URL and preview it. Check that the page has loaded in a way that shows the content you intend to watch.
- Set the visual target. Choose the whole page or a specific area, depending on whether unrelated page changes should also matter.
- Choose a frequency and notification channel. Set these according to the options currently shown in your account and the urgency of the information.
- Start monitoring and inspect the first results. Verify that the monitor is watching the intended text, element, or visual area and that the alerts are useful.

After setup, compare alerts with the live official page and adjust the phrase, element, or visual selection if routine changes—such as unrelated page content—produce noise. Treat the alert as a prompt to check the official source, not as an authoritative notification from the department. Troubleshoot an alert that is missing or noisy
- The preview is blank or incomplete: Confirm the URL is the official page and try loading it directly in a normal browser. If the preview still does not show the target content, the monitor may not be suitable for that page; the published information does not guarantee access to every site.
- Alerts fire for irrelevant changes: Narrow the watched area, phrase, or element if the selected monitor supports it. A whole-page visual monitor can surface changes outside the notice you care about.
- A wording change is not detected as expected: Recheck that the monitor is configured for the relevant text or keyword, then inspect the live page and the monitor’s results. A visual monitor detects visual changes, not necessarily the exact meaning of a sentence.
- You do not receive a notification: Review the notification channel and frequency selected in the account, then check the monitor’s results there. Available materials do not establish a guaranteed delivery time.
