To set up the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro, match its platform selector to the device, choose wired or wireless mode, connect it, then press the PS button. On PS5, select PS5 mode; on a Windows PC, select PC mode. Nacon’s official instructions describe stick-profile and dead-zone adjustments, but not a universal stick-calibration wizard or button sequence. The steps below show how to connect the controller, adjust its response, and troubleshoot apparent drift without mistaking profile tuning for calibration.
Set up the controller on PS5
- Set the controller’s platform selector to PS5.
- For a wired connection, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable between the controller and console.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode and plug the included USB dongle into the console. The controller uses this dedicated receiver for wireless play; it does not connect to the PS5 over Bluetooth.
- Press the PS button to connect. If you switch from wireless to wired and the console reports that the controller is disconnected, press PS again.
If wireless pairing does not establish, check that the dongle is connected, the controller is charged, and the receiver and controller are paired. Nacon says the paired dongle LED and controller player LED should remain steady. For PS5 CFI-1000-series consoles, Nacon’s guide recommends using a front USB port for the dongle. Connect it to a PC
- Set the platform selector to PC.
- For wired play, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-C cable to the PC. Nacon says the controller should be detected automatically.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode, connect the dedicated USB dongle to the PC, and press the PS button.
Nacon specifies PC use with XInput-compatible games and names Windows 10 and Windows 11 as compatible operating systems. It recommends PC mode for Steam. Its guide notes that PC compatibility is not tested or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The guide does not describe Bluetooth as a PC game connection method.
What “calibration” means for this controller
Nacon’s available official instructions do not provide a dedicated universal stick-calibration routine. In particular, they do not instruct users to trace circles with the sticks or hold a button combination to calibrate them. The documented options are to update firmware, customize stick profiles and dead-zone behavior, and troubleshoot drift.

Profile adjustments change how stick movement is interpreted; they are not the same as recalibrating the hardware’s center point. If a game offers its own dead-zone and sensitivity settings, those can also affect how the sticks feel, but they do not replace a hardware-calibration procedure.
Customize profiles in the companion app
For profile editing, follow Nacon’s app-specific connection procedure rather than the ordinary PC game setup. Its current support instructions, updated August 17, 2026, specify these settings:

- Install and open the Revolution 5 Pro companion app on a PC or Mac.
- Connect the controller to the computer by cable and set it to Wired mode.
- Set the platform selector to PS5 or PS4, then set the Classic/Advanced selector to Advanced.
- Follow the app prompts to adjust and save the desired profile.
- Exit the app before disconnecting the controller or powering it down. Nacon warns: “If you turn off or disconnect the controller without exiting the app, the changes will not be saved.”
When the controller is in Advanced mode, use the Profile button to switch profiles. It comes with four preloaded Advanced profiles:

- FPS: a reactive left-stick curve and progressive right-stick curve.
- Arcade/Fighting: instant curves.

Which curve feels best depends on the player and game. Nacon’s profile customization instructions explain the app procedure.

Troubleshoot apparent stick drift
- Check for a firmware update. Use the companion app to check for available updates. Nacon says a previous Y-axis inversion issue associated with drift was fixed in firmware; it does not establish that every drift symptom has the same cause.
- Review the active profile and FPS Pro setting. Nacon says FPS Pro deactivates the joystick dead zone. That can make small off-center movement visible if a stick does not return exactly to center, and Nacon advises against enabling FPS Pro on both sticks at once.
- As a game-level workaround, try a small dead-zone adjustment in the affected game if it provides one. This may mask slight idle movement, but it is not a controller calibration or repair.
- Reset only if the issue remains. Nacon’s support procedure is to insert a paper clip into the rear reset hole for several seconds. Note or back up custom settings first, since you may need to configure them again afterward.
Nacon’s drift troubleshooting instructions, updated June 11, 2026, describe the FPS Pro behavior and reset procedure. The controller uses Hall-effect magnetic sensors in its sticks and triggers, but that design should not be treated as a guarantee that drift cannot occur.
Adjust trigger travel separately from stick response
The trigger stoppers change the triggers’ mechanical travel; they do not calibrate the sticks. To engage or disengage a stopper, press the button down to unlock it, then hold and slide it to the desired position. The guide also documents short and long trigger travel:

- Classic mode: hold Profile and fully press the trigger. One vibration indicates short travel; two indicate long travel.
- Advanced mode: adjust trigger travel in the companion app and save the setting in a profile.
Know the PS5 feature limits
Nacon’s product support says the Revolution 5 Pro has no PS5 haptic feedback or adaptive triggers, and its vibration feature does not work in PS5 games. Vibration is supported on PC and in PS4 games. These are separate from connection and profile settings, so changing modes or stick curves will not enable those PS5 features.
