If you only want yoga classes to replay on your own screen, turn on Loop in the YouTube playlist controls. If you want your channel to broadcast those classes as a YouTube Live event, create a live stream in YouTube Studio and send it a looping playlist from an encoder such as OBS. The first option repeats viewer playback; only the second creates a channel-originated live broadcast.
Choose the right kind of “YouTube Live playlist”

For private overnight viewing, use the playlist control. For a public or unlisted channel broadcast, follow the encoder setup below.
Loop a playlist for overnight viewing
- Open one of the yoga videos in the playlist.
- On desktop, expand the playlist panel beside the video and select Loop.
- On mobile, start the playlist and tap the Loop control in the playlist controls.
- On a TV or game console, use the Repeat control in the current YouTube playback interface.
Control placement can vary by device and app version. This setting applies to playback on that device; it does not create a live event, a new live watch page, or a channel broadcast. If the screen or playback session stops, the playlist will not itself keep a livestream running.

Broadcast prerecorded yoga classes as a YouTube Live event
1. Confirm the channel can go live
YouTube’s documented eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned broadcast. Check the current eligibility information in YouTube’s live-streaming tips.

2. Create or schedule the live event
- In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live to set up an event in Live Control Room.
- To promote it ahead of time, use Manage → Schedule stream. Scheduled streams may appear as upcoming to subscribers, who can choose Notify me.
- Choose the event’s privacy setting: Public, Private, or Unlisted. Confirm who should be able to find and watch it before you publish the event.

3. Make the class videos repeat in OBS
OBS Studio can send prerecorded files as the video source for the live event. Choose the source that matches your material:

- One video: add a Media Source, select the yoga class file, and enable Loop.
- Several videos: add a VLC Video Source, add and order the files, enable Loop Playlist, and leave Shuffle Playlist off if classes should play in a fixed order. VLC must be installed for OBS’s VLC source to work.
OBS’s Media Sources documentation describes these controls; that page is dated 2022-01-11, so check the labels against the OBS version installed on your computer.

4. Connect OBS to YouTube
- In the YouTube event’s Live Control Room, copy the server URL and stream key.
- In OBS, open the stream settings and enter the YouTube server URL and key. YouTube uses the key to identify where the encoder should send the feed and to accept it; treat it like a password.
- Start sending the feed from OBS and wait for the event preview to appear in Live Control Room.
Do not share the stream key. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update OBS before sending another feed.

5. Test the event before leaving it overnight
- Check the Live Control Room preview before starting the event, and verify that the event is accessible from the channel or watch page and on mobile devices.
- Play through the beginning and a transition between files. Confirm that the video advances or loops as intended and that audio is present at a usable level.
- Run a test stream before the overnight broadcast. YouTube recommends testing and continuously monitoring audio and video quality.
- Keep the encoder connected and sending data, and make sure the computer, network, and source files remain available. A looping source setting does not guarantee unattended operation or uninterrupted internet service.

- Automatic archive: YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived and can be found in the Live tab in YouTube Studio. Do not assume that an event at or beyond 12 hours is guaranteed to archive in the same way.
- DVR: YouTube says DVR may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Apple TV, Apple AirPlay, and older app versions may have lower limits. Viewers cannot seek to a point before the stream went live.
The thresholds describe separate features; an archive and the ability to pause or rewind during a live broadcast are not the same thing. Consult YouTube’s DVR guidance and the encoder guide for the current behavior. After the event ends, a channel may post highlights or a replay as videos on its channel; see YouTube’s live-stream information.

Common setup problems and fixes
- The playlist loops on your screen, but there is no live event. Playlist Loop is a viewer playback feature. Create a YouTube Studio event and connect an encoder to broadcast from the channel.
- The event has no incoming preview. Check that OBS is sending, that the correct server URL and stream key were entered, and that the event is open in Live Control Room. If the key was changed in YouTube Studio, update it in OBS.
- A single video stops instead of repeating. Open the Media Source properties in OBS and enable Loop.
- The playlist ends or plays in the wrong order. For multiple local files, use OBS’s VLC Video source, confirm the intended file order, enable Loop Playlist, and disable Shuffle Playlist when order matters. Verify VLC is installed.
- The broadcast stops while unattended. Confirm the computer is awake, OBS remains open and connected, the network is active, and the source files are still accessible. The local encoder workflow relies on those components continuing to operate.
- Viewers cannot rewind through the whole overnight event. DVR may be limited or unavailable when a stream exceeds 12 hours, and supported DVR cannot seek earlier than the time the broadcast began.
