To stream Hindi bhajans continuously on YouTube, use a playout source that can repeat your chosen audio or videos and an encoder or cloud service that sends the resulting live feed to YouTube. YouTube Studio is where you create and control the live stream; it does not turn an ordinary YouTube playlist into a live broadcast. Before you start, confirm channel eligibility and that you have permission to broadcast each recording.
Choose how the bhajan playlist will run
The playlist must be played by a source that supports repeating or continuous playback. That source sends its output to YouTube through an encoder. Choose where playback should happen:

YouTube’s encoder directory describes software, standalone hardware and cloud options, including Gyre for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. Whichever route you choose, confirm that it supports the looping and media formats you need; capabilities vary by product. Every option remains subject to YouTube’s copyright scanning.

- The channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days.

Get permission for every recording
A devotional or traditional subject does not automatically make a particular recording free to broadcast. Rights in a composition and rights in a specific performance or recording are separate; check that your channel is authorized to stream the actual material you will use. A public upload, credit, disclaimer or religious purpose does not substitute for permission.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder to replace the stream, a warning, or interruption or termination if the issue continues. Even licensed third-party material may be interrupted unless the rights holder has added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using protected music: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and YouTube for Artists’ guidance for music channels. Do not assume that a track labelled “copyright free” is safe without checking its actual terms and any required allowlisting.

Create the live stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live to open the Live Control Room.
- On the Stream tab, create a stream or reuse prior stream settings. Reused settings may include the stream key.
- Keep the stream key confidential: anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your stream.
For an immediate broadcast, connect your encoder and follow the Live Control Room workflow to start. For a scheduled broadcast, use Manage → Schedule stream. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions cover the Studio workflow.

Connect the playout source and start broadcasting
- Set up your chosen software, appliance or cloud service to play the bhajan playlist continuously. Make sure it can repeat the material and produce the audio and visuals you intend viewers to see.
- If the encoder offers YouTube as a destination, select it. Otherwise, copy the server or stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room into the encoder’s stream settings.
- Start the encoder. For a scheduled stream, wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room, check it, then click Go live. For an immediate stream, follow the start workflow displayed there.
- Confirm that the broadcast is live and that the playlist advances or repeats as intended.
Do not share the stream key publicly. If you suspect someone else has obtained it, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the new key.

Test audio, visuals and stream health
Test before announcing or relying on the broadcast. YouTube recommends testing representative audio and motion, checking upload speed, and monitoring stream health. A static devotional image with audio may need less motion-oriented video bandwidth than moving footage, but the connection still has to sustain the encoder’s chosen output.
- Listen for clean, consistent bhajan audio and check that transitions do not create unwanted silence or abrupt cuts.
- Check the image or video shown to viewers, including any overlays and changes between playlist items.
- Watch the Live Control Room preview and stream-health indicators for warnings, buffering or dropped frames.
- Measure upload capacity and ensure it can sustain the encoder’s selected bitrate throughout the broadcast, with headroom for normal network variation.
- Set resolution, frame rate, codec and bitrate in the encoder using YouTube’s current recommendations for that combination. There is no single bitrate that fits every codec, resolution and frame rate.

Plan for long-running streams and archives
YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. That archive threshold is separate from whether your playout setup can keep broadcasting continuously. Do not assume a single stream will run indefinitely or that a longer stream will be archived. Check how your chosen setup handles restarts, outages and scheduled boundaries, and plan how to restore the public broadcast if it stops. Troubleshooting common problems
