To set up a 24/7 YouTube stream for a Bengali music channel, first confirm the channel is eligible for live streaming and that you have the necessary rights to stream every recording and composition. Then send a continuous program to YouTube through an encoder, configure it for the capacity of your internet connection, preview and test it in Live Control Room, and monitor it after launch. You can run the encoder yourself or use a cloud service such as StreamNeo to loop uploaded videos without keeping a computer on at home.

Before setup: confirm eligibility and music rights

Check that the channel can go live

YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. The person streaming must be at least 16 years old. Check YouTube’s live-streaming requirements when you set up, since platform requirements can change. Enable live streaming for the channel before planning a launch; if the option is unavailable, resolve the account or eligibility issue first.

Clear the catalog before putting it on air

Do not treat Bengali-language music, a purchased track, a song found online, or a “royalty-free” label as proof that a recording is cleared for your stream. You need permission covering the actual sound recording and the underlying composition, as well as the intended live-stream use and territories where viewers can watch. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for necessary rights, including music licensing rights, on the provider.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Make a track-by-track record of the recording and composition, the relevant rights holders or administrators, the permissions you have, the territories covered, and whether the permission covers an archived replay as well as live use. The specific rights holders and contract scope depend on your catalog and agreements; have the relevant owners or administrators confirm them in writing.

Set up the continuous YouTube feed

Use Live Control Room and an encoder

  1. Open YouTube Studio and enter Live Control Room. Choose the encoder workflow for sending a continuous programmed feed. Software encoders are supported; dedicated hardware is an option, not a requirement.
  2. Create or select the stream key. Configure your encoder to send the planned program to YouTube using the stream details shown in Live Control Room. Treat the stream key as private: anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your channel’s stream.
  3. Arrange the music program. Prepare the recordings in the order and format your encoder or playback setup can sustain continuously. Check that the source playlist can run without an operator having to manually restart it at the end.
  4. Start the encoder feed and inspect the incoming signal. Confirm that Live Control Room receives both picture and sound before you make the event public or announce it.

YouTube’s broadcasts-and-streams documentation describes a 24/7 feed and distinguishes the broadcast, which is the viewer-facing event or video, from the stream that carries encoder input. Most channel owners can use Studio; API-level creation is for custom automation or more complex arrangements. For example, a specialized setup can keep a 24/7 broadcast live while creating a separate event bound to the same stream. That is not required for an ordinary music channel.

Choose video, audio, and network settings

Match encoder settings to a stable connection

Use YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate guidance to choose a supported resolution, frame rate, codec, and bitrate. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, supported video codecs, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate (CBR), and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. The guide’s bitrate recommendations vary with resolution and frame rate, so consult its current table rather than copying a number from an older tutorial.

Behringer XENYX 802S Premium Analog 8-Input Mixer with USB Streaming Interface
  • Analog mixing and equalization for pure sound
  • Direct mixing of PC/gaming sounds into the streaming output
  • Ultra-low noise analog mixer for streaming, podcasting and recording
  • Stereo USB audio interface to connect your computer or mobile device

YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its streaming tips say to leave 20% upload-bandwidth headroom and ensure the total stream bitrate fits the available upload capacity. For an always-on channel, base your choice on sustained upload capacity and encoder stability, not a brief peak from a speed test. If the connection or encoder cannot reliably sustain a selected quality, lower the setting rather than accepting recurring drops or degraded video.

Choose a protocol and encoder that fit the workflow

For a straightforward music feed, use the protocol supported by your encoder and YouTube workflow. YouTube also documents HLS and DASH ingestion, but each has its own configuration and delivery requirements. HLS may be relevant to high-resolution or HDR workflows; consult YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance or DASH ingestion guidance if your encoder or production needs call for those protocols. They are not necessary for a standard RTMPS setup.

Audio-Technica AT-UMX3 USB Desktop Audio Mixer
  • Compact, feature-rich livestreaming USB audio mixer provides high-quality sound for desktop audio production
  • Plug-and-play connectivity to computer or mobile device (no special drivers required)
  • Loopback function makes it easy to mix mic and instrument inputs with background music, game sounds, or other audio input from a computer – and send the stereo mix back to the computer for streaming
  • High-performance A/D converter with resolution up to 24-bit/192 kHz provides crystal-clear output for voice and instruments
  • Equipped with a single mic input (XLR or ¼"), two LINE inputs for guitar and keyboard, and USB-C input for connecting to a computer

Software encoding is suitable when the computer and connection can run continuously. YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production-value events, but a dedicated encoder is optional. Compare options by protocol compatibility, supported codecs and output settings, and any recovery or failover features you need—not by assuming hardware is automatically more reliable.

Preview, test, and launch

  1. Start ahead of the planned launch. Send the feed while there is time to resolve encoder, network, audio, or video issues.
  2. Check the Live Control Room preview. Verify that the picture is correct and the music is audible, clean, and in sync. Confirm that the intended event is accessible from the channel and watch pages.
  3. Test recovery arrangements. If you have a backup encoder or failover setup, test switching to it before relying on it during a live interruption. YouTube recommends testing the encoder and backup failover when available.
  4. Go live only after checks pass. Make sure the feed is the intended program and that rights and permissions are in place before viewers can access it.

YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend previewing, checking that the event can be reached, and continuously monitoring audio and video quality. For a 24/7 channel, decide in advance who receives an alert and who can investigate or restart the encoder. The alert method, staffing, and escalation plan depend on your equipment and team.

Protect the stream from copyright interruptions

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the stream, interruption or termination, or a copyright strike. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID for the stream to proceed without an interruption. YouTube explains these risks in its guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

  • Check that the agreement includes live streaming on YouTube and the territories where the stream will be available.
  • If you intend to leave a replay available, confirm that the rights also cover archived use.
  • Ask the relevant rights owner or administrator to confirm Content ID allowlisting for your channel, and retain that confirmation.
  • Keep rights documentation accessible to the person monitoring the stream so a claim can be investigated promptly.

Keep the feed running and diagnose common failures

Monitor Live Control Room and the viewer-facing stream after launch. YouTube’s streaming tips advise ongoing checks of audio and video quality; a continuous feed also needs a defined response when the encoder, connection, or rights status changes.

Symptom Likely area to check What to do
YouTube does not receive the feed Encoder destination, stream key, or connection Compare the encoder’s destination and key with the values in Live Control Room, check the network connection, and restart the encoder feed if needed. Keep the stream key private.
Video or audio repeatedly drops or degrades Upload capacity, bitrate, or encoder stability Check that total bitrate fits sustained upload capacity with YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Reduce output settings if the connection cannot sustain them, and check encoder health.
Sound is missing, distorted, or out of sync Audio source, encoder audio configuration, or playback chain Check the source and encoder audio input, then confirm the received audio in the Live Control Room preview before resuming or announcing the feed.
The stream is interrupted after a music match Rights clearance or Content ID allowlisting Identify the matched material, verify the applicable recording and composition permissions, and contact the relevant rights owner or administrator about channel allowlisting. Do not assume a license alone prevents interruption.
The stream stops when the operator leaves Local computer, encoder, or playback process Determine which local component stopped and set an alert and restart/escalation procedure. If you need the program to continue with the home computer off, consider a cloud-based workflow.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live by looping uploaded videos from the cloud, so no computer, OBS installation, or home internet connection has to stay on. It plays uploaded recordings rather than broadcasting a camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.

  1. Upload a recording or build a playlist.
  2. Add your YouTube stream key.
  3. Go live; StreamNeo loops the program from the cloud.

Every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot with no re-encode or quality tiers. The first day is free with no card, once per account. You can choose a day, week, month, six months, or year and cancel any time; UPI and cards are available in India, card checkout worldwide, and channels needing five or more slots can contact support. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing length changes.

For a monthly plan, the price is $9.99 per month. Your music-rights and Content ID responsibilities still apply whichever way you run the feed. To try the free first day, create a StreamNeo account.
