You can use a CONTROL Resonant excerpt as a phone ringtone or alarm only if your phone can access the audio in a form its sound picker accepts. A streaming listing or game-edition soundtrack bonus does not necessarily give you an exportable audio file. On iPhone, GarageBand can make a ringtone from an eligible downloaded song or audio file, but Apple excludes protected or undownloaded songs and limits exported ringtones to 30 seconds. On Android, Files by Google can set a local audio file as a ringtone, while Google Clock can use a downloaded audio file for an alarm.
First, make sure you have audio your phone can use
Apple Music lists CONTROL Resonant (Original Soundtrack) by Petri Alanko and CONTROL Resonant as a 13-song, 51-minute album released October 2, 2026. The listing credits ℗ 2026 Remedy Entertainment Plc, under exclusive license to Milan Records, a label of Sony Music Entertainment. View the Apple Music album listing.
The PlayStation Store lists the Original Soundtrack among the included items for the Digital Deluxe Edition; it is not shown among the Standard Edition’s included items. That establishes a game-edition route to soundtrack access, but not that the audio is supplied as a file you can transfer to a phone. Check the PlayStation Store edition listing.

Set a CONTROL Resonant excerpt as an iPhone ringtone
Apple’s GarageBand process works with an audio file available in Files or an eligible song downloaded to the Apple Music library. A protected or dimmed song, or one that has not been downloaded, cannot be used in this ringtone workflow. Apple’s custom-ringtone instructions.
- Open GarageBand and create an audio recording project. Open Tracks, then the Loops Browser.
- Import the audio. In the Loops Browser, choose Files and tap Browse items from the Files app, or choose an eligible downloaded song under Music.
- Choose and trim the passage. Drag the audio into Tracks, select the section you want, and trim the ringtone to 30 seconds or less. Move the audio to the start of the project so the ringtone does not begin with unwanted silence. Apple sets a 30-second maximum for exported GarageBand ringtones; longer exports may be shortened automatically. Apple Support.
- Export it as a ringtone. Return to My Songs, select the project, then choose Share → Ringtone. Name it and tap Export.
- Choose how to use it. After export, select Standard Ringtone, assign the sound to a contact, or finish without assigning it. Apple documents these export choices in its GarageBand ringtone guidance.
Use the exported ringtone for an iPhone alarm
In Clock, create or edit a regular alarm, tap Sound, and choose the exported ringtone if it appears in the available tones. The Apple instructions cited above cover making and exporting a ringtone, not every alarm type’s sound picker, so the available choices may depend on the alarm you are editing.

Set a local file as an Android ringtone
Use Files by Google with an audio file stored on the phone. Menu names or placement can vary by device and software version. Google Files Help.

- Find the file, then play it.
- Tap More → Set as ringtone.
- If prompted, tap Continue and enable Allow modify system settings. Look for the confirmation that the ringtone was set.
Use a downloaded soundtrack file for an Android alarm
Google Clock lets you choose a downloaded audio file as an alarm sound. This is a local-file option; it is distinct from choosing music through a supported online music service. Google Clock Help.

- Tap the alarm sound, then choose Add new → Your sound file.
- Select the downloaded CONTROL Resonant audio file.
Google Clock also documents integrations with some music apps, subject to app, account, and subscription restrictions. Those integrations do not mean the CONTROL Resonant soundtrack is available through each service, and choosing online music does not create a ringtone file.
